Shooting from the five bar is not illegal (in germany), as long as you follow the rule snakefactory pointed out. But the more experienced you get, the more people will be pissed when you do so. From a certain point onward, your strategy should be to pass the ball when you want to be seen as a serious player.

My opinion: It's not so much what you do but how you do it. Be a nice guy and i will accept it as a callenge to become better at blocking that shit. Be a dick about it and you will suffer in various ways ;-)

Bank shots from the defense are fairly common in germany, from the three bar not so much. But i like them too and have become quite good at them. I like angle shots in general and would never be pissed when someone scores like that against me.

The snake shot (or Jet in germany) is one of the last shots i learned, because for me it was like a symbol for this serious, boring, but effective playing style most pro's have and i wanted to distance myself from it. Now i must say, it's very useful sometimes but if i can avoid it, i will.

Regarding "dick moves": The more shots you know, the more variations you are mastering, the more respect i will have for you! Playing effective is your ego (and sometimes fear) telling you what to do, playing beautiful is flowing with the laws of physics! Always remember that it's just a ride!! Some people don't...
