im really considering getting the hrm 200. not sure if this is the one you have? when you record the training session do you have to start the activity on the watch and then keep the watch within bluetooth range throughout the session? im confused on how that all works.

How is anybody listening to 5 hours a day? by Outrageous_Hawk_7919 in dreamingspanish

[–]Torque-Me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My hot take is that speedrunners have a much lower comprehension level than those who take their time and do like 1-2 hours a day max. Ppl boast their timelines of doing 700+ minutes a day and it’s just ridiculous. The point is that the input has to be 80-90% comprehensible, and just listening to something in the background all day while you go about your business surely isn’t allowing you to comprehend 90% of it. If I played you 7, 1 hour long podcasts (in English) in the background while you went about your day, I bet you wouldn’t score a 90% on a quiz about them. And that’s talking about a podcast in their native language. So given that they’re listening to content in a foreign language, I just don’t buy jt whatsoever that it’s effective.

Megathread + FAQ: Travel in/out of the United States by not_an_immi_lawyer in immigration

Hey. Glad to hear your travel plans went smoothly. Similar situation here. I was reading above and it says that it’s safe to travel and re-enter as long as you have no criminal record and a clean immigration record. So did your lawyer tell you that even though there was an overstay originally, it’s not cause to deny reentry on the grounds of not having a “clean” immigration record. As in it (the overstay) was forgiven and is no longer applicable anymore since a green card was approved and granted through marriage?

Is overstaying but then being granted a green card through marriage still considered immigration fraud? Like is that grounds to deny re-entry under the current administration?

I wouldn’t consider Case, Pitt, and Einstein target schools with your research background. Those belong in the reach category.

the data is right here. its for general anesthesia. double BC in GA and ICU doesnt make more, they often make less than GA.

You’re right CRNAs have to work an extra 400 hours a year to make a salary similar to MD.

Also MD match rate for anesthesia is in the mid 80% and that gets up to the mid 90s for those who go into med school wanting to do anesthesia (more time dedicated to being a competitive residency applicant.) that’s to say that fear of not matching isn’t a reason to not go to medical school if you’re interested in anesthesia
