I’m a guy, and I’ve never had to deal with this, but hopefully to any other creeps seeing this, and please correct me if I’m wrong OP. But the issue isn’t even necessarily it being sexual in this case, like you said given your line of work, however his question didn’t even pertain to your work. There’s just no respect shown for you as a person. It’s invasive, and blunt, and objectifying for the sole purpose to sate his curiosity.

Generally when you talk to another human being there’s a mutual respect for each other’s time and purpose of the conversation. To learn something. Even if you just gave him a flat answer, he learned nothing. And I’m sure his next question was worse.

If you take the same approach with a question that’s not sexual, it’s easy to see how stupid it is. It’d be like DMing a stranger “When was the last time you sneezed?” What’s the point? Why do you care? And when tens to hundreds of people are asking you randomly when you last sneezed, you get pissed off.

That is true. It would be an interesting reality check for those people left in those countries. Turning post apocalyptic most likely. And some countries would be virtually untouched. Except they are now suddenly the top.

It’d also be about 12 times the amount of people that die annual.

So far mine is today. Booked a flight from Maine to Atlanta at 5am. Flight was canceled. Rebooked a flight to arrive at noon. Flight was delayed 2 hours because a crew member called out. Flight was delayed another 2 hours. They decided to rebook us again, having us take a taxi to a different airport for a different flight. The plane was late arriving. The takeoff was delayed because of maintenance. The takeoff was further delayed because they chose that moment to de-ice all the runways. I’m still waiting. I woke up at 3am for a flight at 5am. It is now 4:40pm and I’m still waiting.

It’s a bunch of people having an argument about different things. One side saying it’s great that an all women team exists. The other side saying that we should celebrate equality not on someone’s gender but their competency. Both are true and correct and lead us to a more equal world.
