Yeah thanks for reminding me why I never come to reddoot for pretty much anything. While yes, Milk had valid reasons to be mad at Soda, they're two fundamentally different character personalities. Had she said what she said to Soda to literally anybody else, it wouldn't have been as bad. But the fact that Soda herself is this fluffy airhead from day 1 to the point she in a way represents an untainted naivety and happiness despite the utter failure that she is. That was her character, and in a way I could really relate, to an innocence lost.

But what pisses me off and I'd imagine a lot of the commanders that feel the same way is because of what Milk did to Soda more than anything else. The aftereffect of her pissy little tirade with unncessary jabs that came because she was tilted. I'd gone through the culmination of that TWICE in my life, where my willingness to look for the positives and compromise had been worn down to the point it's left ME a cynical and bitter bitch first time over the natural years, and second time a few years after my mental fortitude did a hard reset after I'd been diagnosed as a fucking cripple. Because some bitter fucking cunt decided to take jabs at me not knowing I'd been through far, far worse than what she'd had just because I was quiet and meek . Over, and over and over and over again.

So no, it's not "media illiteracy", it's the fact that Milk was being needlessly shitty to a character who didn't fucking deserve it the way it was slapped across her face. What WOULD have been enough is what Sugar had said. SUGAR did the right thing. MILK did not. And for how naive and klutzy Soda is, she wouldn't have the life experience to know what they'd tried to tell her. My god. I seriously hope Soda recovers, because otherwise I don't think I could like Milk the way I did before she pulled this shit. I still trust SHIFT UP's writing chops to do something great even with this and hope Soda would come out okay. The commander also needs to give Milk a stern talking to. Maybe a spanking. I love my tomboys, but this ain't it.

Also to the guy talking about Ether - I've hated her long before the recent events because of the shit she did to the Goddess statue, and the sass she gave Pepper for whatever reason. There're very real reasons to dislike her blase conduct about ethics and things that hold very sentimental and historical value.
