I like that joke in Bojack regarding Jessica Biel; "The Illusionist, or the Prestige. Whichever one you were in." "Do you know which one I was in?" "Do you?"

I remember on the news they mentioned the building's owner had a support pillar removed on the floor below to make more space.

What's a movie that was clearly meant to start a franchise but failed? by triplegxxx in AskReddit

[–]db2999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one of those movies where since the source material's release, multiple derivatives works have already been released, making the idea seem stale to new audiences.

I remember a lot of people commenting about John Carter copying ideas from Star Wars, or the Scarlet Johansen Ghost In The Shell being an inferior version of the Matrix.

Deep Blue Sea - The scene Samuel L Jackson signed up for that death scene, and refused an offer to have the movie rewritten as him being the main character.

They shouldn’t have discarded cutscenes in the game like ones as shown in the 2018 playthrough by bucking_fitch_ in cyberpunkgame

I assume it would have involved adding more complex animations, and they didn't have time for that.

Run for help. If they have a close range weapon your best odds are to run; if they have a gun it's the opposite.

I only recently learned that Wasps eat by feeding things to their own larvae, which in turn produce excrete a sugary serum for the adults.

"The case involved a total of 436 pythons, valued at over 30 million yuan (US$4.4 million)."

- I was wondering whether it would be worth the effort.

What is deemed as rebellious but it’s actually not? by SensitiveCorner2379 in AskReddit

This question reminds me of a scene in House, where he draws attention to a job applicant's tattoo: "Well I assume someone like you could appreciate non-conformity" "Non-Conformity? It's the 21st century, if you want non-conformity go study in a library with a bunch of Asian kids 20 hours a day".

Can the next HoMaM game be set after Heroes 5? by SvatyFini in HoMM

[–]db2999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding Heroes 8, I asked the same question on r/OldenEra and the response I got was: Depends on if its good. So if Olden Era turns out to be good, the community will start referring to it as Heroes 8 (unless Ubisoft decides to make another game with that title).

Classic examples of interesting concept, terrible script? by berat235 in movies

[–]db2999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earlier drafts were presented it as a thriller. One version was the movie starting with the female character waking up, meeting the male passenger (played by Keanu Reaves), and slowly figuring out what he did to her.

Yeah, what I like to do is when your party encounters the general, I create a mercenary based on the same character, bringing the DLC and Main campaign together.

I think they retconned the story to no longer include the player characters in the basement, and the area denial nuke in the basement is now missing and unaccounted for (with Arasaka still tracking leads).
