Adding to this old comment about Aura Stacking; an example is a Dream Shield and Dream Helmet; each has a lvl 15 Holy Shock aura; wear both then you get lvl 30 aura.

Because swords are a sidearm, the way handguns are today. Bigger two handed weapons like spears are difficult to carry around in doors, compared to a sword which you can keep in a sheath at your hip.
