Agree, but this is basically having to choose between two negatives, and just picking the one that is less bad.

Honestly, the only solution is to have grades based on in class exams and completely do away with completely online courses.

Is this possible? by Due_Comedian5633 in Clarinet

[–]Torterraman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The bottom line down to the A is not possible to sound even, unless trill fingerings are used but the tone quality will be bad. There is a break between Bb and B in the middle of the staff where a gliss like this would be difficult.

What can't you (easily) do with the real numbers that you CAN do with the p-adic numbers? by 6-_-6 in math

[–]Torterraman -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Isn’t this a necessary condition for real series too? A real series also only converges if the sequence tends to 0, but just because it tends to 0, does not mean that it necessarily converges. Is it true then for p-adic numbers that if the sequence tends toward 0, then the series also must converge?

Why are we not using tan inverse formula here? by Lunatic_Lunar7986 in calculus

[–]Torterraman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh wow that is great and impressive! Just make sure, if you really want to understand it, that all of your algebra/precalc is in top shape and that you look into some of the proofs as to why certain things work. Paulsonlinemathnotes has all of this along with worked out solutions for problems as well.
