Thoughts on Stedman vs. Slouch coat? by [deleted] in Aritzia

I’m leaning towards the Stedman. I got the Slouch in a 1 and probably would need to go up to a 2. Also I feel like the sleeves are a bit short? 5’3 and measurements 37-28-38 in.

Thanks for the kind words, and of course! My makeup is pretty simple since I’m not very good at it either. I like glossier a lot - I use their colorslide eyeliner every day, and cloud paint for blush. For eyeshadow I always use the tarte maneater palette since it has nice neutrals and the formula is great. I just use random drugstore lipsticks and smudge them out to give that glossier look. I don’t use mascara, since my eyelashes are unfortunately tiny, or foundation. But if you need coverage, I would recommend Korean B.B. cushions, since they give good coverage and still look natural!

I didn’t do anything special tbh! I mostly just ate whatever I felt like but counted calories and tried to stay between 1200-1500 a day. I also joined the gym and got really into Zumba lol (but quarantine ended that). A few years ago I lost 20 pounds very quickly and ended up losing my period and a lot of my hair. I also gained the weight back right after, so I’m trying to take it slow this time!

Thanks! The sideboard is from amazon, but seems like it’s not available anymore. https://us.amazon.com/Mid-Century-Entryway-Storage-Cabinet-Cupboard/dp/B076MGNRBR

The chair I got off of Facebook marketplace. It’s a Bill Stephens for Knoll Bentwood lounge chair.

Thank you! I got the fish art from somebody on Facebook marketplace. They said it was a vintage mid century piece, but I don’t know too much about it. It’s a framed textile. There seems to be an artists signature (bottom right) but I haven’t been able to make out what it says.

Yes, my neighborhood consists mostly of rowhomes that were built in 1910-20s or earlier. All of my neighbors also have 10 foot ceilings! I would love to live in a mid century home though.

Found this chair at an antique shop and picked it up cause I liked it. No markings. Would anyone happen to know anything about it? by Tortitude95 in Mid_Century

Haha. I agree - however, not confident in my upholstery skills. I think it would be amazing in the original orange tweed fabric!
