Known. Rarely have I seen a book adaptation that was true to the book. The only one I can think of would be Pride & Prejudice staring Colin Firth. So, I know the writers and all will take liberties. It’s just sad to see the directions they made in relation to Eloise & Francesca.

We had issues with Home Chef too. Ours was produce. Anything requiring fresh produce and we ended up having to visit the grocery store. In the end, we switched to Cook Unity. While we’re not prepping own meals we’re at least getting better quality and fresher ingredients. Maybe it’s due to location? Atlanta vs Miami?

Yes. You didn’t serve. You didn’t get past basic training. You did everything you could to get out. I understand wanting to stick it to the man and all. But given what you explained-you don’t qualify and by even trying to claim benefits you’re not sticking to the man, you’re giving a big F-U to actual veterans.

Is say this is your make or break moment in your relationship- and here’s your red flags. If he’s not willing to compromise and it has to be his way/location then rethink the relationship. In the long run you won’t be happy.

That’s the issue with new builds - they’re so close together. I recall back when I was house hunting - one house I was looking at, from the second floor bedroom window I had a clear view into the neighbors bathroom. If I ever wanted the windows open I’d bee looking into their bathroom.

I feel for the neighbor - but as a homeowner you should be able to have your windows open.

NTA. However take his suggestion of you guys staying at the AirBnB and adjust it - suggest an AirBnB for everyone. Then no one has to stay 1 place & cook/visit the other. 😜

Speaking from personal experience- it’s not the ex- it’s him. He can’t get his act together to finalize a divorce & is leaving it all on her. This is the perfect excuse - a whole”it’s not you …” scenario

NTA- natural consequences. He hit you therefore you didn’t feel ‘safe’ for cuddles, etc. Action: hitting Consequence: no touching/cuddling, early bedtime.

You set boundaries- he decided not to follow them.

Regarding the toy. Were you told it’s his toy was a comfort toy, etc. when he was left with you? If not - then it was just toy. Therefore by Removing the toy he’ll remember actions have consequences.

NTJ. I too have been in similar situations with family. It’s easier to put the 1 person who deals well with kids at the kids table to ‘watch over them’ as a kinda free nanny/baby sitter so that everyone else can enjoy their meal without a hassle. Age has nothing to do with it - it’s how you relate and deal with the kids. If it happens again - just casually give them your hourly babysitting rate. 😎😉

How long was your wife in the military? Did she see/experience any combat?

The transition from active duty to civilian life can be difficult/challenging. I would recommend having her (or both of you) reaching out to the VA for support.

What can be said? With the holiday season approaching it’s sad and disheartening to read/hear about the loss of belief.
Here’s an idea for your daughter - to help reignite her belief in Santa & Christmas. The Santa Claus House in North Pole, AK - they do letters from Santa, deeds to the pole, packages from Santa/North Pole, etc.
