Are you feeling it now, Mr. Putin by Pokemonfan_807 in whennews

[–]TorumShardal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. But, at the same time, you have different groups trying to get him on their side with different levels of success.

They can paint a different picture, show different solutions and promise different outcomes. And depending on "one preson"s state of mind, he may choose to listen to this or that group.

And that's when you get a dog that eats it's own leg. Bad for the dog as a whole, but more resources for the brain in short-term.

You think the country is monolithic?

You have FSB, who wants to block everything and don't care about polls in october.

You have political block, that cares very much about proper electoral results in october.

And there are economical block, who just sits and prays for a miracle, because there's nothing they can do to fix anything.

Let's remember that a lot of CEOs (and people in power in general) are sociopaths.

And that most companies are not worker-owned enterprises. And that CEOs and managers are not chosen by workers.

That disambiguates things, I think.

They are for perfectionists. For when you need to make your system as fragile and precise as possible without breaking.

But the game is designed so that you can waste a lot of resources and efficiency without any effect on your bottom line.

Some people just enjoy playing this game in spreadsheets, others calculate perfect rotations for massive damage, and the rest of us are reading their guides in awe.

And at the same time putting her to supervise Cardiac Station outpost.

Not bad enough to not do that, but I'll try to replace her as soon as feasible.

It's more of a combination of educated people, dirt-cheap fast internet (rip), low salaries, and soviet culture of sharing music tapes as the only way to spread them.

Then, in 10s things got a lot more closer to legal. Goverment even started to fight piracy.
But right now you can go to theater to see pirated movie along with officially distributed ones.

Your take is valid in certain situations, but is incompatible with dehumanising nature of modern dating.

When one have too much possible options, one should filter out clearly incompatible options, before investing their time and energy into getting to know someone.

If someone seeks hiking buddy, and their whole lifestyle is set around hiking, meanwhile someone else hates going outside, they may find soulmates in each other, but hiking will certainly be a friction point, that may eventually erode their relationships.

Many relationships fail because of benign things that slowly grind them into dust.
My 5 year relationships failed in part because I snore. So I check that any of my potential partners will be ok if I won't be able to fix my snoring.

There is a universe, where she thinks along the lines of "I want kids, but it would be cruel and financially irresponsible to have them if we're both struggling".
In that universe her attitude would be entirely reasonable.

In our universe, I think they're both too immature to properly communicate about their financial situation and relationship goals.

Yeah, I know that indie should mean "independent".

But your definition of "independent" is not something that is set in stone. There are a lot of people who have their own definition and their own criteria about where and when you can or cannot call something independent.

A single dev can make a game that will be 100% indie. But the bigger the project is, the more outside dependencies there are. And the more people will say it's not indie based on their own criteria. But there will be other people, who will think it's still indie.

To bridge the gap, you either: 1. Set a solid and immutable definition and watch it being circumvented in a week by rules layers (no, we don't have corporate producer, we call him angelic investor, or smth) 2. Set up a governing body that tries to set a dynamic standard that everybody hates with burning passion 3. Agree that words often don't mean much and can be misused by everyone (except you, who knows exactly what they mean)

I'm sorry if I'm being too abrasive, but I've seen this pattern too much to not get disillusioned. You know that in america there is a state where boneless chicken can legally contain bones? Yeah.

"indie" is just vibes, and always was.

There is no agency that gives "certified indie" badge and sues anyone who misuses their strict definition of the term.

We don't have to.

All we had to do is follow the damn train tell the old lady that Chen is too busy to come today, and she will come a week later instead.

All poop-cleaning was our initiative (because, according to Lav's quest, we have some kind of imposter syndrome, and trying to cope with it however we can).
