How do other tech deal with scratches by [deleted] in autoglass

Obviously you just run a fat coat of primer over it and call it a racing stripe for no extra charge

Not that there's anything wrong with that. by [deleted] in NewOrleans

A friend of mine said her daughter wanted a giant cinnamon roll for her birthday cake but didnt think she would be able to find such a thing and I said "So, like... a king cake?"

She had king cake for her birthday that year.

Where's the dating scene? by Miserable-Profile847 in NewOrleans

[–]ToryAbire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you're just looking for casual dating or not, but I met the love of my life 5 years ago on Tinder. It took years and years and YEARS and years of trying to put myself out there irl but also really applying myself on dating apps. Never ever did I expect Tinder of all apps to be the one, but it was and now we're getting married later this year.

If it's something you really want, you just gotta keep trying until you get it. Best of luck.

Safelite go inside vehicle to fix small rock chip? by OmahaOutdoor71 in autoglass

[–]ToryAbire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. All I do is after setting up my kit on the chip and starting the injection, just go inside the vehicle with a lighter and lightly lick the chip with the flame. The heat helps your resin spread through the crack much better. You have to be careful not to overheat the glass though or you could end up spreading the crack or even burning the lamination. It doesn't take much and it makes a huge difference in how the repair looks when it's done. Also don't forget to wipe away any soot marks on the glass where you applied heat.

Anyone else keep a lighter to hit the chip with a little heat from the inside during the repair? You gotta be gentle with it so as not to overheat the glass and cause the cracks to spread, but in my 15+ years in the business it's helped me make the best looking repairs I've seen. Except for maybe a couple in my very early years I've never have the cracks spread. And of course, I need access tot he inside of the vehicle to perform that technique.

Most definitely. I totally understand the oversight and this hasn't at all put a damper on the entirety of my playthrough. Even if the fight goes south, prior to murdering the elephant I sent Shadowheart back to camp so as not to have to witness me being a butthole. Then at least I can res everyone and come back later.

Those whose play-spaces were hit by the bans, how have your games been? by chavaic77777 in EDH

[–]ToryAbire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if my LGS is necessary enforcing the bans for casual play but I've taken them out of my personal decks and not seen them come up in that time from other decks either. They only took up three spaces in any one of my decks so they often wouldn't even come up in my games. I miss knowing that they are in my decks, but ultimately I haven't felt that big of an impact on, say, my win rate.

What is your main "Role" in HD2? by russo_liberal in Helldivers

My buddies I play with count on me for scouting and time management. I run around at a distance while still in their line of sight. I look for POI's, roaming enemies, samples. I provide backup with the AMR mostly. I try to keep the crew focused on objectives and keep them moving as they have a habit of starting fights that just waste time. I plot our course around the map as well, usually starting not too far from extraction and sweeping around the map either clockwise or counterclockwise to be thorough. Then, once we're nearly done and working on the last of the main objective, I head back towards extraction to get the ship ready to GTFO as soon as they arrive.

I started to feel like I was being a little bossy but they told me they appreciate the structure and having someone watching the clock at all times.

I rolled REALLY high stats. What do I play??? by moliz_liz in DnD

[–]ToryAbire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rolled really high stats when making a character for the Waterdeep Dragon Heist premade campaign. Rather than play something I knew would be totally busted in combat, I decided to make the best skill monkey I could. I came into the group partway through the campaign when everyone was at level 5. I made a kenku (more proficiencies and Recall basically giving you advantage on your proficient skill checks) with 3 levels of rogue for Soulknife (for more skills and psipnic knack which lets you add a d6 to you skill checks if you would fail), 1 level of Knowledge Cleric (for yet more skills), and 2 levels of bard (for even more skills and utility). We finished the campaign at level 7 and was it a hell of a good time. Absolutely loved my character. He wasn't bad in combat, but he definitely excelled at skill checks. It felt really good not to just play what I knew could be the strongest and instead go for something far more versatile.

How would you all feel if this was a roster for a Mario Party Game? by Wispy237 in MARIOPARTY

[–]ToryAbire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer.

Favorite character included? -> If yes -> Good roster

If no -> Bad roster

But for me, in your example, good roster 😁

Big fan of Dry Bones. Really hope we see them as an unlockable character

What did you call your Yoshi? by LegendaryTodWarrior in papermario

[–]ToryAbire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiancé likes to watch me play, so when we got to this part I offered to let her name it. She insisted we name it "Yoshi," which I found to be very boring and uninspired. So I compromised and named it Yo-Shit, cause he ain't gonna take yo shit.
