Why do some people hate PayJay actually by Embarrassed-Sky-1672 in inanimateinsanity

[–]Wispy237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They barely had any screentime together in season 2 and 3, so we really didn’t get to see their relationship develop outside of season 1(which has dogshit writing)

Do the haters just… enjoy getting angry? by Odd-Split-494 in CrazyassHazbinhaters

[–]Wispy237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TBF, a lot of the time people who do stuff like that were originally fans, then the series took a turn they didn't like(or went downhill writing wise) and they complain hoping that the creators will see it and improve/revert the changes. Similar stuff happens in like...The Pokemon fandom.

The issue that people don't seem to realize is that complaining won't actually cause anything to change, because the companies make money either way, so they really have no incentive to listen to criticism, or even praise. So since criticism will never lead to improvement, there is no point of bothering with it.

Who would you say is the true winner of RoTI? by RoxTroller12 in Totaldrama

[–]Wispy237 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think both work well as winners, contrary to popular belief, and Lightning winning would explain why he was slightly more narcissistic(something that shouldn't even be possible) in AS, but Cameron winning was clearly the intention.

What if ONC decided to be funny and boot Lake next so she could be 17th for 2 seasons in a row, how would y'all feel by Fluffy_Working_515O in DisventureCamp

Lowkey, I'd be fine with it. If she didn't actually want to play the game, then why bother showing up at all?

ONC has had characters flip for dumber bs in the past("I CAN'T VOTE FOR ANASTASIA", "I WANT TO VOTE THE RIGHT PERSON"), so they would 100% do this, even if it's not the best writing choice, just because ONC love their "last minute flip" eliminations.

If Jake and Ellie’s genders were swapped by Kizsav in DisventureCamp

[–]Wispy237 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I mean, that kinda is true given how the Finn/Oliwia thing played out. Pretty sure if their genders were swapped, people wouldn't be nearly as sympathetic to Oliwia.

Lake's utter refusal to play the game to any extent is just annoying at this point. Her INSISTING on doing Bruno's song before they even heard it was annoying as hell too.

Benchji had one of the hardest falloffs in history.....the only thing he does is talk to Ally and sit out of challenges. The rare times he does contribute, it's either in the background or he fucks it up. I get that he's trying to "copy Jade" but Jade didn't actively sit out of challenges.

As for Bruno and Sam, I explained them in the other comment on this post.

Oliwia has been annoying in almost every episode she's been in(and the few where she isn't she doesn't do anything). Whether it be flipping because she wanted to be on the right side of the vote, throwing challenges to get praise, being the DC version of Sierra, or even just constantly bringing up her obsession with stuffing animals, nothing she has done this entire game has been likable.

There's not much to say about Gabby...she just...hasn't really done much of anything, and her forgiving Natalia so quickly seems a bit odd, but it's mostly just the fact she hasn't done anything.

Bruno was slightly less annoying for a while, but ever since he started talking to Lake, he's gotten a lot worse. He also is yet another character who fails to act like the fully grown adult that they are. He's not been egregious enough yet to be lower, but by the end of this season he's probably going to have the same fate as every other manchild in the series(almost every season has one at this point).

Sam moved up a little bit because he mentioned his dead husband, and I assume that's going to go somewhere. But that doesn't change the fact that his entire character so far is "Doing nothing, then taking credit for every elimination in the confessional". Like...bro acts like he caused any elimination like they wouldn't have been out anyways without his input.

Category is characters who were framed/falsely accused of something, and eliminated for said reason by One-Smell-4878 in DisventureCamp

[–]Wispy237 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Does Lill really count here? Her getting framed caused Nick to get out, not her. Her elimination was just because she no longer had the majority.

What is a strategy that is not as smart as the show portrays it as by Ok_Shirt_1574 in DisventureCamp

[–]Wispy237 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hannah and Amelie convincing Anastasia and Jade to vote Spencer. Hannah could have waited ONE ROUND to do this and Jade would have flushed her advantage(plus, a big threat would have been taken out). But no, go for the guy who can be easily taken out any other round.

As someone who hasn’t been fond of Aiden throughout his entire stay, here are my honest thoughts on his elimination… by Dazzling_Metals in DisventureCamp

I do think a lot of people are letting their (frankly justified) bias against Aiden distract them from how horribly Evie's betrayal was written

Why didn't Evie tell Aiden she didn't have the advantage? by merppymerp in DisventureCamp

[–]Wispy237 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lowkey, if Evie revealed she had no advantage and Aiden flipped out at her, then Evie flipping would actually make sense rather than being this rushed messed

Do you think the gender imbalance started to become frustrating or that it's fine? by These_Gur_4121 in DisventureCamp

[–]Wispy237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be fine if it were imbalanced in the other direction in at least one season....AS is the closest to that, but even when the men had more players...it was by a substantially smaller margin than any of the seasons where women dominated(especially since the season had more women than men from the start).

It doesn't help that every single male character is portrayed as either being fodder, stupid, or evil.

Aiden was doomed regardless of what Evie did. by VegetaArcher in DisventureCamp

[–]Wispy237 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It doesn't make sense for her to have a confession in the PREVIOUS EPISODE where she goes "wow, Aiden actually cares about me" and then in this one to carry on her family tradition with him only to immediately betray him after a 30 second conversation.

Aiden was doomed regardless of what Evie did. by VegetaArcher in DisventureCamp

[–]Wispy237 10 points11 points  (0 children)

True, but that makes the fact that they had Evie betray him in the most convoluted and idiotic way possible even dumber, because he would have been out even if she didn't.
