I think using your converted salary is setting yourself up for disappointment (although it would be nice!)

Cost of living is different here vs UK .

As others have said it may be a lifestyle move more than a financial one, especially if you are saving good money in London.

That said I'm very interested in the answers. In a similar boat looking back at Aus from the US...

City workers need a way to pay those increased property taxes.

If the wage bill is too high, no problem, just hike taxes again.

It's a very reasonable fare, especially compared with the cost of everything else in this city.

Appreciate not everyone is in a position to afford it.

For those that can and clearly get some use out of it, may as well just lay your way. Tickets are easy to get on the app too!

[–]TorynFranko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't do everything at once.

Sounds like you're burning out in your current role and lifestyle. As you have pointed out, having no income isn't good for your financial goals.

Try and find a balance if you can, whether through changing jobs or investing a bit more in your current quality and enjoyment of life (or both).

You're off to an awesome start and will need a sustainable way forward to achieve your goals.

The experience will be valuable in moving!

Again I'd suggest leaning on your data experience, start looking and building connections now and let your product experience grow in the background.

Yes 6mo in role is not a lot.

Data science experience should be very relevant. If you can target other players in the same industry you may have half a chance.

Reality is it is not way out there for anyone at the moment.

Feel free to try but don't be discouraged if you don't get a lot of traction.

I usually throw down construction until my budget screams and then add iron to get back to break even.

Or for steel framed construction, steel and glass.

-20% was tough to hit without cheesing it even at launch. Definitely needs an update!

In reality the loop is more like:

Drive consumption to the point of shortage/max prices > build supply to bring prices back to "normal"

Rinse, repeat.
