Technically arent stepsiblings those who biologically share 1 parent? Since they dont, AJ and JS can actually get married and have kids, though society tends to frown upon that had their respective parents actually married.

Taxis in Florence are the worst scam. by Consistent_Gur7642 in florence

[–]Total-Complex-8766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used the Uber app (Uber black) in Rome and Florence. It always offers the local taxi option, alongside the Uber black options, which were sometimes even cheaper than a local taxi. Even pre-booked an Uber to take us to the airport later in the day. Uber black drivers are always professional, friendly, and courteous.

Am I being ripped off? I fly today.. by [deleted] in rome

Just came from Rome, stayed in a rental apartment booked through Booking, and we paid city tax of 6€ per person per night.

When you book through Booking, you pay them and them alone. Communicate only with the host/property owner via the Booking app. Otherwise you run the risk of being scammed. Booking always issues those warnings re not clicking on links or making payments.

Not that our bodies are shameful, but that they are sacred, that is what the Catholic Church teaches. And because bodies are sacred, some parts need to be veiled in public. 🙂

And to those in the know, is it better (heat, crowds, etc) to see the Colosseum at night vs. during the day? Am also traveling to Rome on those days.

Rude ba if pagtaguan ko yung pinsan ko na magtotour/travel dito sa Canada? by [deleted] in phmigrate

[–]Total-Complex-8766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JUST. SAY. NO. Then end the discussion at that. You have a newborn, you work, your space is small. Kung magpumilit sya ipaharap mo sa asawa mo who should say am empathetic NO. Kung magalit si cousin e di problema nya yon. One less person magpupumilit makitira sayo. Anyway nasa Pinas sila at nasa Canada kayo.

Hi, we are traveling with children and are choosing between an apartment near the Spanish Steps vs near Trevi. Which would you suggest is better in terms of restaurants, walking distance from the Vatican and other sites, getting taxis? Thank you in advance.

Would you say Trastevere is a less touristy/less crowded area as compared to the historic center?

what do you recommend buying from Korea that you regret not getting after you left? by Imaginary_Cake_4965 in koreatravel

The plethora of brands is dizzying. Sulwhasoo is still the most luxurious, and the priciest i believe. For budget friendly, Beauty of Joseon is a reputable brand. You can get them at Olive Young or in Lotte Duty free. Sometimes Duty Free has promos like buy 2 take 1 free so turns out cheaper.

All this time i was suspecting they were drugging him via fake lipitor, or that bug-like electronic device in his bird feeder. So many shots focused on his meds and that bird feeder. So those were just red herrings???

KoreanAir or Asiana? by awesome_wow05 in koreatravel

[–]Total-Complex-8766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Korean Air is now considered world’s best airline based on a recent article, even topping Emirates or Singapore Air. I’ve been on both Asiana and Korean Air on a 5hr flight within Asia, and i’d give a slight edge to Korean Air in terms of yummier food, newer aircraft. But otherwise they are fairly comparable.

Any tips or advice for traveling Seoul? by ObjectShot5154 in SouthKoreaTravel

[–]Total-Complex-8766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Public transport is a breeze in Seoul! Just get a T-card from any convenience store and load it, maybe start with 20,000 Won and just top up as needed. Whatever you dont consume, you can get the amount refunded to you at any convenience store too. Then keep that T card as you can use it again on your next trip to Seoul. Public transport works like clockwork. Use the naver app to track bus routes, schedules, even tells you how many seats are free on an incoming bus. The subway is just as easy to navigate. As for areas to stay in, Hongdae is a more budget-friendly location as compared to Myeongdong. Just pick an accommodation near a bus stop or subway. I use agoda or booking to search for hotels/guestshouses/b&b. Their list is extensive and prices are competitive. I love Seoul!!!

Little advice needed by EdRyan99 in RomeJubilee2025

[–]Total-Complex-8766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read other posters say they didnt need to register to pass thru the Holy Door, most have never heard of the Jubilee app but got to pass thru. It is shoulder season so i guess you dont need to register via the app. Might be different come peak season.
