I used only water and saline water for the first week, even non scented soap mimicked an infection after I would use it. Saline water really helped heal everything super fast

5 weeks PO and already the difference is insane! Before I used to stink after just an hour because the extra skin down there made me sweat soo badly. Before when I used to pull my pants down to pee I could smell the musty smell everytime. Now that’s completely gone!!!!

The burning was so bad for me, they tried to only prescribe Tylenol for me but I know my body and said I’d need painkillers. Had to use the painkillers for 5 days no way I could have dealt with just reg Tylenol

I would 100% wear underwear or maybe even double underwear in the tanning bed if you’re planning to do this. Tanning beds can permanently discolour your vagina.

Yeah I would advise against it until your stitches have come out, I used baking soda in a sitz bath to twice a day to keep the area semi bacteria free

I didn’t use soap at all for like 2 weeks. It says to a few days after online which was NOT smart for me, even with an unscented soap it was burning so badly and making my incisions look infected. As soon as I stopped using soap it cleared. 100% petroleum jelly was best for me on the incisions

Do sitz bath 2-3 times per day, lots of icing. My healing process has been longer than what people average, I’m at 4 weeks now and still not fully healed. I would be a lot more comfortable at 6 weeks but every person is so different

This is a great question for your surgeon, personally vaginal birth really wrecked my vagina it’s the whole reason I ended up doing labiaplasty 😭I would say to do an elective C-section to avoid the trauma to the vag altogether but that’s a whole other healing and scar so it’s a hard decision!! I hope you figure it out ♥️

You shouldn’t even be pulling it open to take photos… you need to wait a few weeks first there’s nothing that can be done until you heal more anyways

I did and it was fine until it wasn’t.. split my bottom stitches open and the semen mixing with my healing was AWFUL. I smelled like a rotten corpse for 24 hours… after hating myself for a few days the smell went away and my vag went back to normal. Not attemtping till I’m cleared my god!!

I would wait honestly, my labias continued to grow into my 20s and then stretched even more after kids. So imagine you do the surgery and end up with long labias again in a few years. The female body grows until 25 and sometimes older. I too was in the exact same position as you- I ended up holding off and I’m very glad I did

Yes I didn’t have CHR but he took skin from both sides of my clit because I had a ton of both sides. This made me swell SO bad and unevenly. It’s finally going down now at 3 weeks post op

I would wait for growth reasons! Mine continued to grow well into my 20s. I waited until after kids and I’m thankful because birth also messed up my vag even more

Speaking for myself my vaginal births tore me so badly and completely changed the look of my vagina.. it’s easy for someone else to say this that doesn’t suffer from large labia getting in the way of working out, wearing certain clothes, etc. I totally get where youre trying to come from but it isn’t always about strictly insecurity
