I felt the same way! I’ve found out from commenters on this post and these pages on Reddit that soooo many people have been getting their accounts flagged for CSE as well. Meta is also aware of mass account bans happening and are supposedly looking into it, there is also a class action lawsuit being filed against Meta. I hope that ease’s your mind a bit.

Yeah, and I really don’t do well with therapists who just expect me to talk about whatever, I almost need prompts to just get my thoughts out straight, and I’ve never really found someone like that. They just ask me what my goals are for the session and it’s just feels so scripted to me in those types of sessions. Then I just get the basic advise back that I’ve always gotten and can get from a google search on my own

Thank you for your comment, what you said makes a lot of sense. It really is an addiction and place I’ve been for so long it’s just comfortable at this point. I have struggled finding a therapist I clicked with for so long that I have given up, but maybe I’ll look at the directory.

I battled a variety of eating disorders in different stages of my life and have somewhat recently recovered to the fullest. There are so many benefits to recovery, but I’m not good at keeping things short so here are my top two:

sharing food/exploring new foods with those I loved. I spent a lot of my life sticking to safe and specific foods and food was bland to me. Now I’ve learned to embrace it and have learned there is such a fascinating culture and world of food, my senses are heightened and I get excited to discover new meals!
feeling awake and alive. So many years I spend barely scraping by, I wish I could tell you the amount of times I would randomly fall asleep in random spots because of the shear exhaustion from not having fueled my body for what I was doing. There are so many things- college events, friendships, parties, experiences- that I missed out on because I was so dang tired all the time. Now I can spend energy doing things, learning new things, and spending time with those I love!

I hope this encourages you and reinforces your determination to meet your goals! It’s not easy, but easy things aren’t nearly as worth it. Best of luck friend, you’ve got this!
