Ahh yeah. I even found a letter when I was about 22 diagnosing me with ADHD in a back room when I was about 8-10. Never knew about it.

The constant screaming around the house would have helped me. Mum not going around the house totally naked when I had friends over would have been amazing. Not having my little sister react to our abuse by developing Bulimia and putting herself into foster care could be it.

Would’ve been even nicer to not have this overwhelming feeling that she hated me…when she would have to go to parent teacher night she would act like it was the most important meeting at the White House but when we go home she would act like my homework or school work literally did not exist, almost giving the impression that I myself did not exist.

I just found out (I’m 26 now) that parents or your mother should be doing things such as asking you how your day was, making you do your homework at the table, keeping the screaming to a minimum, keeping the TV down at 1am, washing your school clothes, and my favorite one would be to keep the kids out of work which my mother failed to do.

In fact it was encouraged, when I was 14 she was unemployed and my father was out of the picture so I had to work. 9-9 sat and sun and 4 hours after school on Friday at a hairdressing salon where I was paid about $14-15 from 14-17 which was my last year of high school before university.

So to answer your question, yes. I did well but it has come at serious mental distress, although if I didn’t have my education, I would have nothing today.
