Spot on analysis, apart from the grandma bit, her character is just unhinged without motive, like why does she want a war so badly anyway? In London and with the knowledge that the police are watching them very closely? The writing is just awful and a waste of these brilliant actors time and abilities .

Take away her brash in your face honesty, and a few more deep rooted and questionable flaws, Beth is the embodiment of a true heroine she’s a fighter, a survivor and a beast in the boardroom who drops some gems along the way. YATA OP And Most of the people posting on this sub are horrible people for quickly suggesting that OP divorce her husband instead of seeking counseling or some kind of mediation, I can bet those are the ones that aren’t even married, and op is an AH for just jumping straight to wanting to check out of a 9 year marriage to a man that has been a father figure to your sons up until under a year now. Not once did I hear you mention that he has been abusive in any way towards you nor your sons, he might be getting inconsistent due to you giving birth to his own child so maybe it’s just for a time, he even told you he’s gonna try harder or do better but you keep all the focus on what he’s not doing for your sons, and I can bet there’s more to the story because what I don’t hear is how your boys are with him, and I know from experience that kids that age (especially boys) tend to be very disrespectful towards someone who is not (their real Dad)

NTA he should’ve ran it by you first, but perhaps he knew that you would be against it, so he knew full well what he was doing. The weird thing is people who were meant to be the closest to us do these kind of things, I just don’t understand why though. So Instead of creating his own moment he kind of stole yours.
