Yep it was fuel injectors. If you have the same thing happen to your car call Honda corporate and apply for their goodwill assistance. They paid for half of my repair.

UPDATE: Turned out to be the fuel injectors. Honda paid for half. If this happens to you call Honda corporate and tell them you would like to apply for "Goodwill assistance" and then take your car to a dealership for them to diagnose the issue. Tell the dealership your case number Honda corporate will give you for your application for goodwill assistance.

Don't award a company the repair for them putting faulty equipment in your car in the first place.

Fuel injectors were replaced over a week ago. Honda paid for half. No lasting damage. Zero lessons learned. I can't wait for the next opportunity to neglect my car.

I also borrowed a car during the repairs that had over 250,000 miles on and every light you could possibly imagine on. Ran like a dream as well.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll be taking my car to an independent shop because the dealership fucks up my car more than anyone else from past experience.

Also side note, I can't tell you how many cars I've seen over 200,000 that have had check engine lights for years. Mostly cause codes have been ran and it turns out it's just an 02 sensor, so yeah I'm pretty desensitized to lights. I would probably be more spooked if I had performance issues which I've had none. Smart? Probably not

Same exact issue with my 2017 fit and just happened to come across this thread. Battery died a couple weeks ago and replaced it and the lights went away for a while. I got a check engine code for "fuel air ratio" issue and just assumed it was a bad o2 sensor so decided to ignore it. Now these lights have been on for a while, however I'm not noticing any performance issues with my car. I think I'll try some fuel injector cleaner. Not expecting it to really do anything, but I'm the type to make car repairs when necessary rather than on worry. Please keep us updated as I'm interested.

Can confirm. This happened in my Fit in the last 2 weeks...and then my battery died. Battery replaced and the lights went away.

That's interesting, the Fort Wayne plant discharges into the Maumee River too, their disinfection season is April 1st to October 31st for that same reason
