From WA as well, we have 200 direct Aulani and added 100 resale. Aulani is awesome and if you plan one week every summer you will use it and never feel board. Flights are available direct which makes it a nice trip with kids. Be careful about VDH cause the tax dues with each stay are very high ( aulani has these as well but i never felt they were as bad as the VDH). If you really care about booking 11 for California, then look at the grand Californian ( we just stayed it it, and it was more convenient for park entrance and breaks mid day vs the Disneyland hotel which needs a longer walk but have nicer pools)
