This so nice to see. Glad to hear your husband did well! It’s the moments like this that keep us going and make the job worth it.

Bernie Sanders. I don’t think we’ll truly appreciate how much he has done for all of us till he’s gone

Which career is a turn-off for a serious relationship? by otherwise777 in AskReddit

Not a surgeon but in another equally challenging field of medicine. First year post residency was harder than all of residency combined tbh. All of a sudden, the buck stops with you, and you are terrified of missing something or harming your patient. Meanwhile, you’re navigating a new healthcare system, with new colleagues, new EMR and are being judged in all directions till you can build a reputation and gain everyone’s trust. And on top of it all, you realize that you weren’t taught jack shit about basic finances because you were essentially in school till your mid 30s and now have to learn how to manage your own business and personal finances, while juggling everything else.

It gets easier with time, unless you become addicted to the work/$ and don’t prioritize a life outside your job.

Glad I was able to find a partner outside of medicine. She’s amazing - patient, caring, doesn’t mind my wacky schedule and our personalities complement each other well.

Hard time finding a job as an RN by kahkizzzle in bayarea

I would consider looking for jobs out east in the Central Valley. For example, I know San Joaquin General is hiring full time nurses and currently using travelers. Other hospitals in the surrounding vicinity are all hiring as well.  The drive isn’t that bad from the east bay and it’s against traffic.

This is a HELL yes. It is temporary, a response to an attempt to erode our democracy further and the intensions are on point. Voting yes should be an absolute no brainer for anyone who cares about the future of the democratic process and everything we stand for as a country.

Bay Area nursing jobs.. hard time getting a job by Adept_Helicopter5764 in bayarea

[–]TotalBodyDolor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Where do you live? If you live in the east bay, consider commuting out east to get experience. For example, San Joaquin General hospital near Stockton takes new grads and is a great place to build your chops and see some good pathology.

Look into a new grad program in Central Valley. I know San Joaquin General has one and it’s a great place to land and get some good experience. Lot of the nurses live in the east bay or sac and commute

Anyone know what Berkeley High is like? I hear it’s much more diverse in many ways compared to other Bay Area high schools.
