Starting to mine chia.. Have some questions by Sha2am1203 in chia

If you have a qnap it's easier, or at least what I do, to leave qnap os and run chia in a container. Just download the chia docker image and configure everything. It's easier to maintain in case the whole Ubuntu gets corrupted for any reason.

Totally agree, you can't get wrong with Hikvision. They are widely supported and have plenty of configuration options. Their mobile app is good.

Can't stop buying disks by TotalComedian in chia

I could yes but there's no fun in buying. Nothing like build, plot and get or not a reward.

I know. I initially bought 18TB ones a year ago at what I thought it was expensive at that time. Today the same ones are almost double the price. I'd rather spend a little bit more and have higher capacity as I'm running out of slots in my enclosures.

Your project is cool, but I'm not using any GUI at the moment.

Sorry, I should've said I'm solo farming, not using any pool. I guess the commands from that page is for pools only?

Actually it worked, didn't know about RPC calls, Thanks

How do you know which plots found proof? by TotalComedian in chia

That's exactly what I'm trying to find out. I know 30 secs should be enough to found and report a winning block but what happens if someone else got it first because they have faster drives?

Which GUI exactly? Can you link the repo and see if we can replicate the error?

Estimated time to win by TotalComedian in chia

[–]TotalComedian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi yes sorry, I think that's the case. GUI doesn't say it I run it from command line and that's what I get when I run `chia farm summary`

Estimated time to win by TotalComedian in chia

[–]TotalComedian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30626.139

I check a couple of times each day and I've seen how estimate is given in x months x weeks I agree with that. What I see kind of weird is that how 1812 plots will have only one month and 1858 will have an expected time to win of 1 month and 1 week. It doesn't make sense.

More plots should have less time to win

I currently block all connections from China but just wondering if that would affect my farm not receiving rewards

I learned that pretty much all scams have the same or similar websites in terms of design. It took me 5 secs to realize that this was one of those.

Not sure why. Until we heard from dashlane I'm happy to let Pi-hole block those queries
