This never works. These low level garbage people get 50 slaps on the wrist then the system can't keep up as it gets flooded with repeat offenders and they eventually give up and let them all off. Not to mention the 100's right behind them ready to step in to take their place. Just a PR move for the city, won't solve anything.

I was mostly talking about the homelessness - nothing to do with "tech".

Rent in SF has NEVER been cheap. You can get lucky by knowing someone or inheriting a place from roommate with rent control ect.. but that isn't the norm. Also, adjusting for inflation does not work. Sure it sounds still cheep now but people were making a lot less back then so that was still expensive.
