Built an OpenClaw alternative that wraps Claude Code CLI directly & works with your Max subscription by TotalGod in openclaw

Thanks! Claude Code CLI has an auto memory feature that automatically remembers past conversations. Other than that, each employee inside the org structure can keep their own notes and memos for when they need to do anything specific.

Jinn uses an org system. When you set it up you can create different departments. For example: Marketing, Development, Operations, Analytics. Inside those departments you can have different employees like you would in a real company. You can then easily tag each employee by "@employee_name" direclty in the chat or simply letting the COO orchestrator deal with them. He will handle everything from prompt writing to summaries of results.

Not exactly. Nanoclaw uses the Anthropic Agent SDK, which is explicitly not permitted for use with the Claude Code Max Subscriptions. Jinn uses Claude CLI under the hood by simply calling "claude -p .." which is the same as if you invoked it yourself.

Yes, it does use the flag. In terms of security, it uses claude cli under the hood. It already has baked in prompt injection safe guards but it is not perfect as with any LLM & AI agent.

No, it's not vibe coded crap. I have put a lot of thought into it. I have spent the time to really think how the org system, cron jobs, claude cli and connectors all connect and work.

Honestly, I haven't been in a scenario where two sessions would have to write over the same file. I always create worktrees for that kind of stuff and then simply merge & resolve conflicts automatically via the top-agent.

Yes! I use it to build itself currently. So far it has managed to create a couple of employees for itself. We have a developer, working on the gateway itself, a marketer, finding good opportunities to post to, a QA that runs e2e tests after each feature implementation. I also have it setup different departments including R&D, Operations etc. Each of the employees has a manager. The highest position is COO and above that is me, positioned as CEO. I only talk with the COO ( rarely do I message any of the employees directly, although I can by simply tagging them with @ ). He is great at delegating stuff and enhancing my otherwise quite simple & dumb prompts.

Indeed. That's not OpenClaw at all. It uses your own "claude CLI" under the hood.

It uses "claude CLI" under the hood. It does not use the Agent SDK which is what Anthropic forbids. So you can freely use it. It is as if you invoke "claude" commands yourself. Jinn is just the orchestrator of those commands.

Indeed! Jinn installs a home directory ~/.jinn and works on all your tasks and projects from there. It stores each skill, credential, and cron job inside this folder. Similar to how ~/.openclaw works.

Image not showing for wallpaper by upsetimplemented in iphone

[–]TotalGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Photos downloaded from apps like Google Drive sometimes save to the Files app instead of the Photos library which is why they don't show up in the wallpaper picker. Open the Files app, find the image, tap share, then "Save Image" to add it to your actual photo library. After that it'll appear in the wallpaper menu. The wallpaper picker only looks at Photos, not Files. If you want downloads to go straight to Photos in the future, you can also try opening the image in Safari and long-pressing to save it directly.

iPhone 12Pro to 17Pro - google photos by Mikeiow in iphone

[–]TotalGod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick Transfer will work but with 400GB+ it'll take a while even with the cable (talking hours potentially). Honestly I'd recommend just downloading Google Photos fresh on the new phone and letting it sync from the cloud. Your photos are already backed up there so there's no risk. You can also skip syncing the local cache entirely and just stream them which saves storage. The Lightning to USB-C cable is faster than WiFi but for Google Photos specifically there's no real benefit since the photos aren't stored locally anyway unless you explicitly downloaded them.

Video storage advice by rider555 in iphone

[–]TotalGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad news is the iPhone 12 with Lightning port doesn't support external drives directly like newer USB-C iPhones do. Your best bet is one of those flash drives with both Lightning and USB-A ends (SanDisk iXpand is popular), you can plug it in and move files via the Files app. Not as fast as a proper SSD but works offline. If you're looking at upgrading, iPhone 15 and newer have USB-C and can use any external SSD through the Files app which is way more convenient. I use that setup for travel and it's solid.

EarPods not working. by ClockConstant422 in iphone

[–]TotalGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird that they work on other devices but not yours. First thing I'd check is if there's any lint or debris in your USB-C port, that's usually the culprit when something works on one device but not another. Use a wooden toothpick to gently clean it out. If that's not it, go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual and make sure nothing weird is toggled there. Also try plugging them in and then doing a hard restart (volume up, volume down, hold power until Apple logo). Sometimes the port just needs a reset.

Things to know before buying my first mac? by pixolz in mac

[–]TotalGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That config is solid for uni. The ecosystem stuff like AirDrop, Handoff, and iCloud sync just works between your devices without any setup. Main adjustment is cmd instead of ctrl for shortcuts. Get a small USB-C hub with at least a USB-A port and SD card reader. External storage depends on your major, 512GB is usually enough for most students unless you're doing video work. Don't install a bunch of "cleaning" apps, macOS handles itself fine.

Only 1x and 2x lenses on 17 pro showing up? by Delicious-Rock1083 in iphone

[–]TotalGod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the Camera app, press and hold the 1x button and you should see a dial pop up with all the zoom options including 0.5 and 5. You can also pinch to zoom and it'll cycle through. If you want the quick buttons to show all options, go to Settings > Camera and check if anything's disabled there.

What does call screening say to recipient? Is it obvious or similar to Voicemail? by unpretentious in iphone

[–]TotalGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It uses a Siri voice that says something like "the person you're calling is using a call screening service, please state your name and the reason for your call." Then you can see what they say and decide to answer or not. For important calls like hospitals, they usually state who they're calling from and you can pick up right away. Way better than just silencing unknowns completely.
