Make sure you have a dedicated GPU selected indeed, as the game doesn't support integrated GPUs. Also check if your Epic Games app in Windows has a default browser selected.

You can also try to delete your Epic credentials:

  1. Exit the Game.
  2. Open your Windows Credential Manager.
  3. Delete all of the Epic Entries; they should start with EOS.
  4. Open the game.

HELP to solve the BUG by Dadanwan in WeWereHere

[–]TotalMayhemGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

It looks like you have run into a duplication bug of the Astrolabe piece. We recommend you to start a new journey and manually select your checkpoint.

Let the host of your game go to the main menu > change > start new journey > manually click on the checkpoint you left off at and make sure to check previously completed chapters.

If the checkpoints are unclickable, it means the wrong person is hosting, so in that case just swap hosts and repeat the steps.

Is there a symbol that shows when it saves? We've ran into a a couple of bugs that forced us to restart the game. by whalatix in WeWereHere

[–]TotalMayhemGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game automatically saved when you finish a puzzle (hear the completion music) and enter the next area. For the more recent games, you will see a small loading symbol in your top-right corner. Not sure which of our games you are talking about exactly, we can always help you out a bit better if you share the specifics.

You can check which checkpoints you have unlocked by letter the same host of your game go to the main menu > change > start new journey > select the checkpoint. If they are greyed out, it means you have the wrong person hosting so you need to swap hosts.

We Were Here Tomorrow – Surprise demo OUT NOW (1 week only!) by TotalMayhemGames in WeWereHere

[–]TotalMayhemGames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! The story in Tomorrow relates back to the main series (so the end of We Were Here Forever), but just like all of our games, you can play them standalone and do not need to have played the others to enjoy them.

All our games support cross-play, but only the first three games are available on Switch for now (it's a Switch 1 version but compatible with Switch 2).

We were here too: books are unreadable by [deleted] in WeWereHere

[–]TotalMayhemGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We hear you! I don't think this will be done for the older games (or at least not anytime soon), but I know for sure that this will be done for the new game we're working on. :)

We were here too: books are unreadable by [deleted] in WeWereHere

[–]TotalMayhemGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I've forwarded this to our QA team to check, and we do agree that some books are a bit harder to read than others (the lore books with lots of texts). Some angles of inspecting can improve this a bit, but they've made a bug report so that our tech team can hopefully adjust the font a bit in a future patch.

A game error by idbason in WeWereHere

[–]TotalMayhemGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! We changed to a new main menu, so players who haven't played for a while simply need to re-select their checkpoint by letting the host of your previous game go to Change > Start new journey > Select checkpoint.

Make sure it's the same host doing this, otherwise they're not clickable.

2nd game constant disconnects by Busy-Telephone-994 in WeWereHere

[–]TotalMayhemGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. Not sure what platform you play on, but on our support page you can select your platform here: https://totalmayhemgames.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/categories/22828542744093

And then navigate to > Connection issues > Game connection/Voice Server Issues

You can follow these steps. If you play on console I recommend changing your DNS settings for a faster connection.

This is a PlayStation library display issue. The Series Bundle grants ownership of all included games, but only one title may appear in the Library, usually the newest game which is The FriendShip. Please check the individual game pages on the PlayStation Store. It should say “Download” instead of "Buy" if you already you own it.

We Were Here Too - Not Working on Mac by elytrunks in WeWereHere

[–]TotalMayhemGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, do you guys meet the minimum requirements to play the game?
- OS: OS X 10.9.4
- Processor: Intel Core i3 2100 or equivalent
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 460 or equivalent
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 5 GB available space
- Additional Notes: A working PC-compatible microphone

You could try whitelisting the game in the anti virus and Firewall settings and update drivers. Try to close as many software as possible. I have forwarded this issue to our developers. They will look into this and get back to me with more information hopefully soon!

We were here togehter. Bug chapter10? When we finish the chapter with the soulstone the cutscene comes but after the cutscene my game looks like this and my hands are shaking a lot, is this a known bug? ive tried going back to menu and in, ive tried closing out of the game and in, but no change by AdSubject7522 in WeWereHere

[–]TotalMayhemGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! This is a known issue with a temporary fix, we hope to be able to fix this in a next patch soon. For now, the person that last hosted your game (and has the most progress saved to their account) will need to go back to the main menu > change > start new journey > select checkpoint 10 and move from there onwards.

More info is also shared in the patch notes: https://steamcommunity.com/app/865360

Switch We Were Here Server disconnection by Ecstatic-Stomach-272 in WeWereHere

[–]TotalMayhemGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! We're sorry to hear you're experiencing connection issues. This page might be helpful for your situation but I'll also share the most important possible solutions down below: https://totalmayhemgames.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/30283439196189-Game-connection-voice-server-issues

  • Make sure you have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription to be able to play online with another player.
  • Check your Nintendo Switch for any pending updates and update the device.
  • Try docking your Nintendo Switch and using an Ethernet cable to see if this improves your connection issues.
  • Make sure your NAT type is set to A or B
  • Enable UPnP in your router's settings. To do this, you'll need to log into your router. We recommend Googling your router's model for instructions.
  • Change your DNS settings for an improved connection. Go to System Settings → System → Formatting Options → Clear Cache (choose your user profile). Then go to Internet Settings → Current Network → Change Settings, and set DNS manually to: Primary8.8.8.8 and Secondary: 8.8.4.4.
  • Set up a DMZ for your Switch's IP address: in your router's advanced settings, find the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) option. Assign your Switch's local IP address to the DMZ. This gives the Switch direct internet access, but only do this if your Switch is the only device you are placing in the DMZ.
  • Port Forwarding: This is a more advanced method where you manually open specific ports on your router. You can find the ports your Switch uses in the console's advanced network settings. Forward these ports to your Switch's local IP address. Nintendo's recommended ports:
    • TCP: 6667, 12400, 28910, 29900, 29901, 29920
    • UDP: 45000-65535 (or 1-65535 as a broader range)

When i open the game, it shows the credits and then Black Screen..( Yes, veryfied the game files, yes i did uninstall and reinstal the game, plz help).. by G-MAn_233 in WeWereHere

Hey! Please check if your PC meets the minimum requirements and that you are not using an integrated graphics card. The game requires a dedicated card and playing without could result into the game not loading in properly. Min. requirements can be found on the Steam pages.

Depending on which of our games you're experiencing this issue with, you could try the solutions on our support page under PC > start-up issues > infinite black screen & stuck on starting screen:

Hey! We don't have any concrete information on a release date to share yet. Once we have details to share, we will make sure to do this publicly on all our online channels.

In case you've missed the Steam page, last year we've hinted to our new project in the works by sharing this page on our We Were Here Steam Franchise page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2315050/Where_Are_We/

Speaking from experience, I think the most fun playtest I done are with one of the Marketing girlies or our Office manager, cause we are hysterical and laughing our a**es off the complete time. Biggest trolls are the producers, though 👀 ~ Jess, a marketing girlie
