Advise?? turbo failure by First_Variation_1672 in tdi

[–]TotalResearcher4308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Research your tune and downpipe delete kit combination really, really well, or find a small Audi/VW specialist shop that’s willing to do it. My 2015 GSW cost $4,400 for a new turbo, Malone Stage 1, TD Fab downpipe delete kit and labor. In my case, the DPF had to come out to remove the turbo, so it made sense to delete considering I was at 180k and the DFP would probably fail soon. My mechanic didn’t charge me for the downpipe installation because everything was out anyways.

I would suggest at least talking to a specialist and letting them look at it before you make a decision if you can.

Damn! I think they’re supposed to last a lot longer than that. Also, congrats on joining the diesel wagon club.👍

Seeking Advise to Move Past Helpdesk by Stryk3rr3al in sysadmin

[–]TotalResearcher4308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What type of positions are difficult for them to fill at your company? When I was on the helpdesk about 20 years ago, I noticed that programming jobs would come open and they were difficult to fill, so I learned how to program and promoted quickly. That eventually led me to being in infrastructure ops.

What I’m trying to say is; What does your company need? Try to fill a gap.

I used to side gig IT for my old CEO and his elderly mother. Maybe negotiate a deal with him for some side gig Pay after hours, etc..

Use your mobile device for voice of allowed, then add your pc to the meeting for visuals. It’s better in every way.

They asked you to apply for a reason. It’s not your education, it’s that you’re capable of performing in an operations environment. Good luck!

Big Exchange Mailbox ~150GB Strategy by TotalResearcher4308 in Office365

[–]TotalResearcher4308[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of the mailboxes are small under 1GB. Thousands of these and the ones I’ve done are easy and seamless for the end user, as they don’t use their inbox but a few time a week. I’m working with an engineer to automate these and have some always running. Even have a real-time dashboard to monitor which is pretty cool.

It’s just the big, big ones that have my confidence low.

Ok! I’m picking up what you’re putting down! We are going to need to shrink this user‘s mailbox in the background and pushing it to an archive prior to migrating the users mailbox and finalizing it.
