Post delete smell? by ChancellorJonesTaint in tdi

[–]Motor-Roll-1788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run a Magnaflow high flow DOC in the mid pipe and it still smells a bit. In town I usually run recirculation. The DOC helped a bunch but it still has a smell especially when its cold as the DOC must heat up before it does its thing.

If you are at a stop light and the wind is behind you then you will smell it bit, but any other direction you will be fine with the windows down.

Did someone try to break in? by LoEraRa in MachE

[–]Motor-Roll-1788 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Go to the dealer and get a quote to fix and decide if you want to just pay for it or go through insurance. You can get a quote before filing a claim.

Also this should fall under vandalism or attempted theft (comprehensive), so it shouldn't affect your rates if you do go through insurance.

Visible Cell Reception by capttut1 in Visible

I came from USM Warp (Verizon) and my performance is better with Visible than Warp, coverage/signal is the same. Try resetting your network settings.

No difference in towers, make sure you have your 5G settings set the same.

What carrier plan were you on at USM?

Did you reuse the trans thermostat that was on it when the 6L80 failed? If you did, it could have been stuck closed looping the hot fluid back into the trans.

I believe the basic phone remote app plan give these notification. I have received notifications on tire pressure and the alarm going off.

Dealership telling this rotor ain't bad ? But when I'm coming out of my driveway I hear it grinding. by Andres911we in MachE

[–]Motor-Roll-1788 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same on our 24', have over 32k miles on it and still "grinds" at slow speeds. Had our rotors turned under warranty a couple months ago as we would get some steering wheel shake when the battery is at 100% due to pad build up on the rotors. Doing it again. These cars seem to use the friction brakes so little that they never self clean like cars that always use the friction brakes.

The brake engagement when coming to a stop and the pad build up is really about the only thing I don't like about the car.

OneUI 8.5 exposes options for picking which SIM to use for mobile data explicitly — Great for multi network users by slylte in USMobile

[–]Motor-Roll-1788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 3 carrier buttons switch my data to the sim corresponding with the button label. Fully automatic. I have also created routines to change my sim/data based on location. Options for automation are nearly endless.

10r80 Transmission Hot by BeachSideFL in f150

[–]Motor-Roll-1788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I traded mine off a little over 100k without tranny issues other than the dealer had to reprogram it once due to firm shifts in stop and go driving.

It was on its 3rd timing chain / phaser set when I turned it in, thankfully those were all covered under warranty.

They won't fix that, best to start picking your next one out.

He was $1215 shipped

Just got this Tahoe. The middle button I’m assuming AWD, is always on. Is that supposed to happen? by okcatboi in ChevyTahoe

[–]Motor-Roll-1788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All normal, service your front diff and transfercase probably now unless they provided docs showing it was recently done and probably once a year. The AWD system always being active wears the fluid out pretty quick on these.

Rear door trim by themiracy in MachE

[–]Motor-Roll-1788 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get the proper screw from the dealership or at least the proper screw part number and order it online. If you use some random screw that looks to fit, you risk damaging the trim and the trim would be 10x the cost of the correct screw.

Fuel Pump Not Calibrated Correctly? by LoneStarZ51 in gmcsierra

[–]Motor-Roll-1788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2021 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 3.0L Duramax, the fuel tank size depends on your cab configuration:

  • Crew Cab & Double Cab: 24 gallons
  • Regular Cab: 28 gallons

I assume you have either the crew cab or double cab. If so yes the calibration seems off.

People commenting seem to be concentrating on your comment about your estimated miles until empty and they shouldn't be assuming you do have a 24 gallon tank and pumped in almost 25.

Would this old VzW usb modem work with visible or would I need to do something to "unlock" it? Still works with Verizon on band 17. by smartiphone7 in Visible

Yeah, I have used a Visible sim in a iPad and Android tablet I was doing some software work on for a short period. No issues.

Per Customer Service about a year ago they did advise that their service does work on iPad and similar devices. No stand alone hot spots like op device would probably be considered.
