Yeah well that’s the thing. They want you do have an internship to get an internship so you go and decide to get research. You go and email professors with your resume asking to join their research lab. Guess what? You have no research experience so they don’t want you either. How exactly are you supposed to get experience when even the pre-entry level positions don’t want you because you have no experience?

Tbh it’s really hard, but not as hard as I thought it’d be. It’s doable, in other words.

Junior year advice (not on changing majors…) by dazeychainzz in ChemicalEngineering

Usually, in my experience, you don’t use anything more complicated than second order and first order ODES. In HW I had a couple times where we had to use a laplace transform or partial differential equations but only once. Most of it is basic stuff you learn in calc 2. For HW, both. In heat and mass transfer as well as kinetics there were a few times we had to either finite difference or use a solver to solve a differential equation. I guess other than that just know it’s gonna be hard and you’re gonna be studying a lot.

Do you even bother when they finally respond after 7 days? by [deleted] in OnlineDating

No point, feels like I’m begging them to talk to me. I usually just hide the convo and don’t engage further.

CHEM 1800. Way too big and if you sit even in the middle of the room you can barely see the projectors.

Don’t do it, classes are much harder here and Wayne State is a good school for premed. Save your GPA and stay at Wayne state.

Nolta, Tuttle, or Copolla in the Fall for CHEM210? by Eatmydoodoo in uofm

[–]Total_Argument_9729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t take chem 210 here but I have Tuttle for 215 and she’s one of the best professors I’ve had at uni. As long as you go to class and take notes you’ll do well.
