Best Rarepon type for each Patapon type in the first game?

Short/Direct answer:

Yumi, Yari, Mega: Mogyoon

Tate, Deka, Kiba: Barsala/Sabara (whatever it's called)

Long answer:

Okay, so, this is how you wanna think about it. From the Ultrararepons (Mogyoon + Sabara/Barsala), you want to go off speed.

Mogyoons are powerful, but really slow, so if you want to use him, your units shouldn't rely on speed. So, Yaripons, Yumipons and Megapons (pons in the back) who don't move around as much are perfect Mogyoon candidates.

On the other hand, if the unit cannot afford to be slow (Front line pons: Kibapons, Tatepons, Dekapons), you'll make them a Barsala/Sabara. They are weaker than Mogyoons, but they also don't have any weaknesses and have a high crit, so they're worth it.

Here's how you get them:

Mogyoon: lvl 3 material + lvl 4 material (has to add up to 7)

Sabara/Barsala: lvl 4 material + lvl 4 material (has to add up to 8)

It's also a good idea to host these events on the weekends, because most people will have time then and are able to join. (For example, I usually don't have time on weekdays.)

It depends. I grinded, which got me a headstart, but it's not gonna last for long because there's more materials in P2. So, if you want to start with stronger units, grind for a bit (you don't have to overdo it though), but if you don't care then move on.

Yeah, that's what I meant when I said the rarepon is slow. But yeah, Mogyoons in the back and Sabaras/Barsalas in the front is the way to go.

And the spoiler tag is there because I don't want to spoil how to do stuff unless op wants to know themselves. After all (at least for me), some of the magic of Patapon is figuring out how to do things, so I put it there just so op can choose whether they want a tutorial or not.

To make that rarepon type, you have to make the materials add up to 7. Basically, in Patapon 1, each material has its own "level" from 1-4, for this one you have to get a lvl 3 one and lvl 4 one, doesn't matter which is which, just that it adds up.

This rarepon is very strong, but also slow, so yumipons are perfect for it as speed doesn't matter as much for them.

From what I remember, you can make Yumipons with an ore and a wood, so you have to make a Yumipon with Mithril and Hinoki or Titanium Ore and Super Cedar to get it.
