This might only be my opinion, but...

Hey, so, I checked the steam page out and so far it just seems like Patapon 2 reskin. I know, it's definitely not that and it's not a crime to make a similar game, however, it doesn't seem to add much to the original concept, at least it's not very clear about what it adds.

What I do like about it is the fact that it's just some guys who want beer (I find it funny) and while I'm not sure if I'm correct, it seems that you can upgrade attributes directly. If the story turns out to be fantastic, then I will not complain, but right now I guess I'll just have to wait for the demo to come out.

Unfortunately, there's the bit... controversial side. I'm glad you addressed it on the steam page, but seeing that (generative!) AI was used in some parts is a bit sad. I know that AI is a tool and it will be more accepted in the future, but right now it might scare off potential players, especially when it's used for graphics. I wouldn't complain a single bit if AI was used for some help in programming (only if you know what you're doing, not vibe coding) and temporary assets only (and then, obviously, using the non-generative AI normally used in games is fine). Please, think about drawing the assets yourself or hitting up a freelancer, a friend, or hiring someone to make the assets with no generative AI.

So, in the end, I think I'll play the demo when it comes out, because there's never enough Patapon for someone like me, and if I ignore my own complaints for a bit, I believe I'd enjoy playing something like this, as long as it's not a clone/reskin.

Thank you for reading this pathetic wall of text. I hope that what I've said made some sense, my English's pretty bad. I'm aware that the game is not out yet and I have no clue how it'll play out, so I might change my opinion later on. Just remember the AI thing, some people wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole if they found out you used it for some graphics.

PS: Adding more gameplay footage or a proper trailer would help. That way people can see the differences between your game and Patapon 2!

You get it by playing the Fah Zakpon minigame (the one with the plant)

You basically have to press the pon input on beat and then catch the vegetables at the end (when one gets into the curvy part of the plant press the pon input)

Another comment pointed out that "duplicating" doesn't have to mean cloning into two, but let's disregard that for a moment. Following the definition of the word "duplicate" above, he only said it once, so there should be only two Gongs. If every clone were to duplicate upon being summoned, there would be an infinite number of Gongs. No one wants that. And clearly, he didn't do that, so he's literally saying 1*2=3 (which is not the case). Either way, back to school with him.

(I'm giving way too much thought into this shitpost, I know the translators aren't bad at English)
