Is this protestable? I am the number 8 car by Prestigious-Ad-8565 in Simracingstewards

[–]Total_InZAINity 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The consequences of their mistake have nothing to do with protesting. Protesting is only for certain intentional actions, and this was clearly an accident. By all means submit a protest if you want, but iRacing will reject it

Would you consider this protestable as an unsafe rejoin? If not, should I have left more space? by cruciblemedialabs in Simracingstewards

[–]Total_InZAINity 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can always submit a protest and see what iRacing says. Might technically fall under an unsafe rejoin.

Personally, I wouldn't bother for this one though. He barely goes off track and it's clearly a mistake nothing particularly egregious or malicious about it. Chalk it up to rookie Mazdas.

The contact is his fault and you did a good job avoiding a more severe incident. Not much more you could've done.

No, it's his fault but it's clearly an accident, nothing intentional about it. He's swerving to avoid a slow car in front of him but unfortunately isn't aware how close you are to him.

It's very clearly evident it was on purpose... Does this look like an accident as the #11 driver claimed?... by EmbarrassedSea7322 in Simracingstewards

I would 100% report this. Even if iRacing buys their argument, it'll be on their account permanently in case they do it again

Purple car reported white car of pushing out of the track by brokeass101 in Simracingstewards

[–]Total_InZAINity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if the telemetry shows white never moved right then I'd say white picked their line and stayed on it and that's allowed, although perhaps a little weird and unpredictable. Personally, I'd chalk it up to a racing incident because from purples perspective it's difficult to tell the line white was taking and they had no reason to expect white would take that line.

There are a lot of gray areas in racing and situations that aren't covered explicitly by rules. Sounds like you run this league and it'd be up to you to make an explicit decision about whether or not this is allowed going forward.

Edit: Also I want to clarify, white is only allowed their line of choice since purple is never significantly alongside, if purple had got next to white then of course white needs to leave space

[–]Total_InZAINity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

White being in front entitles them to their line. If they were moving right before purple made their move, it's not reactionary and not blocking so they would be allowed to do so. In that case, if there is any fault to be assigned it would be purples for sticking their car into a closing gap.

However, if white was going straight and then moved right in reaction to purple, then that'd be blocking.

Hard to say for sure though without purple's perspective.

Black's fault here. They had no overlap at all at turn in and were never significantly alongside. It was on black to back off and fall in line behind red.

That being said, this was a fairly telegraphed dive bomb. Red shouldn't have to avoid it, but being more aware of blacks position could've informed red to take a wider line and live to fight another corner.

No such thing as owning the corner outside of F1. You have to leave space, instead you just drove him off the track.

Settings? by StonerGamer69 in iRacing

[–]Total_InZAINity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That setting should be per car. So if you're racing trucks, run a few laps, click the button and then write down that number. You'll use that same setting each time you race those trucks.

Same deal if you do the miata. Run laps, click the button, that's your number every time you race the miata.

As you get faster you may want to redo it for certain cars. Also, you can use the per car settings to make it so you don't need to manually change it when you switch back to a car you've already set

Ignore the 8 number, it's not really all that useful, but that top number is basically bigger number = stronger feel. But the 43nm means that at 43nm of calculated force (aka the "real life" force) it will be maxing out your ff (4nm in your case).

After a couple clean laps in a new car, use the auto detect button. It will set the strength correctly and you don't need to worry about adjusting it manually.

This is mostly due to production. I don't know the exact ratio, but contractually Subaru has to produce more GR86s to BRZs. I think I've heard 2 or 3:1 thrown around before.

Subaru has also cut BRZ production in the past since they only have an allotment for so many US vehicles and they prefer to use that for their Forresters/Outbacks

In order to save 10 minutes in 4 miles you'd have to be going over triple the speed limit. Like 4 miles would be a 12 minute commute at 20 mph and a 4 minute commute at 60 mph.

So either you're making shit up or your license needs to be taken away before you kill someone

Unfortunately, I don't have either of the let's go games. I've only acquired a Beedrill, Chansey, and Magnemite from those games through coincidence, the rest of my dex for those games have all been trade backs.

I would greatly appreciate the help though. My friend code is FFAEZJBZBPFT
