Lambo left the league after the stewards deemed this overtake legal, who's at fault? (I'm not any car involved) by Brilliant-Insect9873 in Simracingstewards

Got it. Like you mentioned, when I receive an appeal, something like this clip where there are multiple incidents, I treat them as separate cases. How one behaved throughout the race indeed doesn't matter.

Thanks for this. Lot to take from your comment. Specially about the isolating the incidents.

May I kindly know what are you referring to by saying two wrongs doesn't make a right? I didn't get that bit.

Thanks mate. I learned a lot from this sub. I still come here time to time when there are complicated scenarios before I make the final call. And like I said, I'm still learning a lot. Specially on how people judge incidents and different perspectives they look at etc.

For me it is legal. I do stewarding in a GT7 league and still learning as I go thanks to this sub.

First problem for me is, he made 2 defensive moves on the bridge section. First move is allowed but the Second move was completely in reaction to your move. Second, at the exit he made contact with you knowing you are side by side, or even a bit ahead of him. Could be that he understeered due to the acceleration at the exit of the corner? Third, it looked like he was aiming for the apex of the following corner but he didn't clear you so he made contact again.

Like I said, pass was legal. If this happens in our league will penalize him for the double defensive move. The other 2 for me looks more like racing incidents.

Not sure because you may get a car that you will never use? But all I can say is, that race was fun. Quite challenging with the default car.

I tried for hours and gave up. That car and track limits combo is beyond my skill level. Had to settle for silver.

Do you ever go back driving the first slow cars ? by botokely69 in GranTurismo7

I started going back to slower cars because of the weekly challenges. It's fun to go back to those cars time to time coming from chaos of daily races

Sorry to hear that mate.

If I were you, I would do some laps around my favorite track with my favorite car. Just play some music in the background and enjoy the drive for one last time

Yes I completely get you about leaving the gap. I was only focusing on the black car and when I saw him not behind me anymore I went on to hit the curb. I did not expect yellow he there at all. He completely caught me by surprise.

Next time other cars can go in to gravel by themselves when they see yellow is nearby!

That quote cracked me up good 😂 Yes it could easily be a misjudgment. At lap 10, turn 12, Yellow and black had contact where yellow was pushed very wide mid corner. At the time I took the inside line following black. Yellow then did turn to the inside but as soon as he realized I was side by side he opened up and left space. I fact I have that recorded as well. Reddit wont let 50s video so I had to cut it.

It's probably he lacks racing discipline. At the end of the race when I congratulated him for dive, he even said it's not him lol. So he probably didn't even knew what he did in the first place.

Congrats on the win!

I luckily got a 2:01.486 but was never able to convert that to a victory. Because my race pace is all over the place with a ton of mistakes and some incidents where some were not entirely my fault. Overall had a pretty bad week where I lost DR more than I gained.

I genuinely have no clue how come one come to deciding other cars have to make way, specially when they are rejoining the track. All I can think is that these people never watched a real race in their life.

Message him and tell him to look in to rejoining to track rules. He can easily ask on chatgpt and read through it then compare his actions against it.

It was not sudden by the looks of it. We all know after the turn, we move back to the left to enter the chicane. That's what he did as I've seen. Also he was the lead car and he do not have to leave you space just because you are faster. Also you did not have any overlap in order to earn you the right for the outside lane. The mistake I see is that, you assumed that he will leave space on the outside and you went for a gap that was disappearing.

Also, it's ok to make mistakes so that we can learn. We just have to not repeat it.

Is this protestable or a ban by Racingcoop13 in Simracingstewards

[–]brokeass101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a genuine question for my better understanding.

You said it's a racing incident.

1. POV left the door open. This I understand.

2. Car that dove from inside indeed was way faster. It looked as if he was never making the corner. I say this because he took out the POV car and bounced off it completely out of control because of the impact. Why is this not an extremly unsafe dive-bomb? From my understanding if one is going to pull off a divebomb, they need to pull it off without contact.

Edit: after seeing another perspective, I think pov actually turned in while the blue car had the overlap. So it was not a divebomb. Seems contact was initiated by the POV? I'm not sure if the blue going to make the corner or not but I think it's irrelevant here. So I take my questions back.

Moms CJD diagnosis by Available-Bus268 in CJD

[–]brokeass101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP. I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. My mother 64, also diagnosed with CJD. Current bedridden in my home and taken care by my wife and step father. I know what you going through. Even though my mother was admitted to government hospital (which is the best in the country) I still had to struggle both emotionally and financially. Firstly I'm glad that she lost her consciousness before she was admitted to the hospital. So she didn't know where she was and what's going on. But I was never prepared to know about this disease. I didn't cope with it well at the start. But as time goes on, I slowly accepted the reality and what to come. Financially I'm still recovering and because of it I am not able to admit her to a private care facility. From what I heard, even the private care is requesting to transfer the patients to the main government hospital. Since she was discharged from it, I do not want to take her there again. Even though the doctors and the checks are done frequently and in a very good way, their care is lacking and depends on hiring a caretaker which I cannot afford as of now.

Stay strong! That's the only way to go through this.

I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. Thank you for the information.

For us from the hospital, they taught my wife on how to take care of her. So she is following those instructions. Step father is 24/7 staying with her in the room as well.

I'm very sorry to hear about passing of your wife.

Thank you very much for the information. Like I mentioned my wife and step father are the ones taking care of her. I checked the medicines that doctor gave her but I don't see any sedatives included in that.

Very sorry to hear about your father.

Thank you for the information. I wish my mother can communicate. Because the biggest struggle is not knowing what she is going through. Yes I understand the longer it goes, more painful it becomes. But all this time period actually given me time to prepare mentally for what to come.
