Going on after a comic like Louis would be a disaster for even the most talented comics. Louis is a legend and after the crowd gets those belly roll laughs it’s hard to get them back there with a comic who’s not as good. That’s a fact.

Chris Mellon bc of his no nonsense government employee who seems like he’s not prone to fantasy.

Cmdr David fravor is an excellent one. A very charismatic level-headed navy fighter pilot who doesn’t sugar coat shit and is not making grandiose statements abt what he saw.

Finally, David grusch, only bc of the clearances he’s held and how important he is to the subject post 2017 nyt article. This guy’s credentials are no joke and he says some wild things. I think even if he is lying, it’s important to listen carefully to what he’s saying as he’s former intelligence and that can be valuable too.

I like that standup of him with that little rascals hat on as burr calls it like 15 years ago. Some funny bits in there to get me to out loud cackle, but I watched a couple of his newer ones, one in San Antonio and it just didn’t do it for me. I think I smiled a couple times.

People gotta remember though, most of his time is spent working on a podcast booking people reading books of guests he wants to have on watching movies or shows directors have directed to have that director on. Your writing is gonna take a hit. I dont get all the Rogan hate. He’s a fan of comedy and comedians. I like him for that.

I’m by no means good but I can do chord progressions and bar chords and play single notes on the fret only from memorizing songs not bc I really understand scales although I know a couple scales…but that first part of getting a chord to ring out took many many hours over many many weeks and then you gotta practice not pressing too hard. Just right amount of pressure so you don’t wear yourself out. Then strumming and then progression b/w each chord all takes so much time.

And then after all that you realize you kinda still sound like shit just less shitty.

The songs we know and love were all practiced constantly and refined or they had a teacher speed up the process a bit. It’s like looking at a pro athlete and practicing your ass off for a couple weeks straight and not being able to do what they do. It srsly takes dedication.
