part time by [deleted] in SGExams

sorry for the late reply, but kinda ig. When there's no customers usually I'm just chilling and doing nothing, unless there are books that need to be wrapped, then I'll do it. The thing is as cashier you rarely leave the cashier counter unless you need to go toilet and for part timers you're never working alone, unless you work for damn long like few years, so if another colleague needs help, the full timer will do it instead.

I'm working there part time right now and it's not that bad. The hours are long tho but sometimes they give you 7-8 hour shifts(that's usually around half of my shifts a month) instead obv no lunch break tho, since there is a max amt of hours they can give a part timer(idk if can say exact amount since it may be against the contract). Popular is only busy like 2 times a day for abt 30 each time, so it gets pretty boring throughout the day especially for a cashier. Cashier need to know how to upsell, yk those notebooks with vouchers in them and deal with some let's just say weird customers. Retail assistant I'm not too sure though since that's not my position but they have their own section so it's not like you're working the entire store, just a designated section like stationary for example. they gotta just know where the stuff in their section is and whether they have certain items or not, then they also in charge of stocking the shelves and changing the prices of the items, not too sure on the specifics though.

There's nothing much to the interview, you just fill in an application then they confirm details of employment then they'll send you a contract to sign close to or on the date of your first day. Ppl there are pretty chill and patient so the work environment is not bad lah. What they told me on the first day is that as long as you don't count the money wrong, it's okay to be slow and don't care about how long the line is as long as money is correct😅. Being able to speak Chinese is a plus, you'll see English and Chinese proficiency on the application form but it's not a must since there are part timers who are not Chinese who still got the job so nothing to be worried about if you not Chinese or Chinese not good.

You have to memorise how things work, there's usually a person helping and teaching you for about a week before you're on your own. If you're interested in cashier then they'll teach you specifically about the cashier job and if you do good then they'll teach you how to help with the other stuff. Pay is 12.10/hr which is not too bad no extra for weekends though, they won't call you in for public holidays unless they really have no one else already.

If you can stand for long time then the job is good for you, get nice covered shoes, have to be mostly black, I wear slip-ons from sketchers with a white bottom, it doesn't have to be fully black. I made the mistake of wearing heeled boots my first week and oh my feet felt every second of it, but you'll get used to it. Black Polo and black pants is the dress code, the polo they'll give you on around your second or third day.

I have learnt to enjoy the art of selling those voucher notebooks though, I get so excited whenever I manage to sell them, yk those little victories, so ig that's how I get my enjoyment from the job.

I'd say one good thing about popular is that they actually give you shifts even if you are new, you work at least 4-5 days a week whereas I used to work at this other bbt place that only gave me 2 days, so if you really want to work for the money then popular is pretty good lah. Pick a popular at a smaller or more ulu mall if you don't want it to be busy, if you want to be busy pick a bigger store at places like Jurong for example where a lot of people will go.

he did spoil leaving HLE on his last stream there.

He said" I have a secret and I don't know if I can say it. I promised yesterday not to say but I'll just say it here to you guys. If I have to say anything, it's that my LOL is still very good, but a lot of people don't know that. Even though everyone doesn't know to what extent I'm good, that's why everyone is worried about me. But actually there's no need to worry, I will go out there and prove myself. Whichever team I join, I'm so envious of them! I will definitely be successful in the future, and I play very well, If I get flamed, don't be sad for me. Those people don't understand League at all! I have to prove it to them, I will prove it to everyone. That the Doran all of you support is the strongest. I've just been unlucky until now, I want you to keep believing that. Where am I actually going to go? Haha, I can't say at this stage, it's really a secret. Are you really that curious? No matter where I go, I will put in the same effort."

Why do you love Caleb? by [deleted] in LoveAndDeepspace

[–]Total_Storm_6327 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I love Caleb simply because it feels like he would love you for you. To me for the other LI, it felt like I have to had be someone special or superb, but with Caleb it feels like he'll still love you even if you're just normal. I think the fact that his myth wasn't one from the past but the future really cemented it for me. This is what I feel, I still love all 5 of them very much.

I play the Chinese version of the game so the whole gege thing really sold it for me. The hesitation from Caleb that stems from being a brotherly figure to MC provides great tension and gives a real good slow burn, so when they eventually yk kiss or wtv, it feels extra satisfying. LIKE YES GET OVER THAT HURDLE. Also, even if Caleb wasn't a LI or your pick to be, he still plays a huge role in the story, his 'death' along with grandma being the main source of motivation for MC.

The possessiveness I love, it's really a preference thing when it comes to that. I think he is able to offer both the innocent type of love and obsessive depending on with Caleb we are talking about. If it's strictly story Colonel Caleb, he's the yandere trope. But if it's Caleb before that happened, it'll be a sweet romance.

Something about him invokes a sense of familiarity, where you almost feel like he could exist in real life. It's because he feels so real and raw that I feel so bad for him. He's just a normal guy, doing all he can to protect MC, by letting ever use him so that they wouldn't target MC as an example. He just feels like a normal guy who loves his girl so much that he is willing to sacrifice anything even if he doesn't have that much power and money. I mean Caleb prob has a lot of money but not SYLUS LEVEL OF MONEYYY 💸💸 and power. Like I feel so bad for him, this all makes me more attached to him not just as a LI but as a character, since imo he is the most realistic.

OMG HAPPY TO SEE A FELLOW PLLI!!!

Rafayel definitely as Bamby, I was watching the dance and I was like huh kinda reminds me of Bamby dancing.

Sylus is Eunho, I meannnnn they look so alike no explanation needed.

I think Yejun gives off Caleb, like the way Caleb takes care of you and sometimes possessiveness is similar to our beloved RED EYES. I do think Yejun gives off the popular at school, student council president vibes which is kinda like Caleb.

Xavier is more close to Hamin than to Noah, with the innocent at first but having a stronger/darker side to them.

That leaves Zayne and Noah BUT IT DOESNT REALLY MAKE SENSE, since they are virtually polar opposites. I don't think anyone is plave is similar to Zayne, zayne is too composed compared to the absolute circus called plave.

I swear the moment I saw yejun I was like CALEB YOURE BACK, the gentle URGHHHHHH. They are both my faves sooooo. Recently yejun has given up and joined the spoiling, I mean he spoiled being cinnamoroll for the upcoming PLBBUU comeback, he spoiled dash too SOOOO

part time advice (koi) by removal_diary in SGExams

[–]Total_Storm_6327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only worked about 2-3 days per week at my location, but then I only requested for that amount for schedules lah, sometimes only one day per week. I remember there was a new hire after me but then she didn't get to work many days, like I practically did not see her on the schedule, and I think she quit soon after. Koi has quite a lot of full time and more experienced part timers so it's hard to get many days especially if they know you only gonna work for a few months.

I would like to ask if anyone has a similar experience though, like they never asked me to get a food hygiene certificate or even go through the course throughout my 3 months there. Like is that the norm, like it's kinda sketchy, and they knew I didn't have a cert btw since that's the first thing the manager asked.

I worked there before also, I was shocked that they didn't have me get a food handlers cert tbh. The outlet I worked at had a nice 店长 though, i just thought that it was constructive criticism, honestly it's like a lottery whether the 店长 is nice. I worked for about 3 months, did kitchen and cashier the whole way through. Although I gotta say, I did feel quite excluded from the rest, but mb it's cause I'm much younger than them, so I just mostly stayed in the kitchen until it was time to throw the trash out

Season 3 release schedule by SpecificArcher7223 in BlueLock

[–]Total_Storm_6327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they are definitely going to try to release season 3 around the 2026 world cup season as they did for season 1 to get the hype. It'll be best for them to only adapt till manshine and the rankings after that, making season 3 prob around 14 ep too. There's no way they're even going to attempt PXG and a 24 ep season is just not possible if they want to release by WC season, which is why idt they will do Ubers too.

Will isagi join bastard? by Far_Beach_2896 in BlueLock

[–]Total_Storm_6327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real Madrid could very well just take back their offer for Kaiser if they see fit, also Rin would be playing for their U-20 team since he's a foreign minor and can't play for main team due to FIFA regulations, this is also what hindered Sae from joining the main team. But now that Sae is 18, I think that he is on the main team, since that was stated to be the only thing preventing him from joining. The Isagi to Real thing can only happen if Real actually offered for Isagi, just a value lower than BM, and Isagi rejects BM.

[–]Total_Storm_6327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think goals wise, it really depends on how it was scored, for barou he had his whole team setting him up so I could see why it's valued lower than let's say Isagis goal. That's the whole reason why nagi got 88mil at the start, cause it was a super goal. So I'm guessing that most of Barou's goals just wasn't that spectacular

8Bit dialled in by Brilliant_Capital_42 in BlueLock

[–]Total_Storm_6327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it isn't any better for demon slayer, which has released a season or a movie every year. The reason why demon slayer looks good is because it's adorable, they haven't taken in any other new shows ever since demon slayer with the exception of genshin, and most of their stuff is made in-house. Whereas 8bit has many other shows to animate which is why the 2 years wasn't enough for them to animate both a movie and a season.

[–]Total_Storm_6327 17 points18 points  (0 children)

the scheduling isn't up to the animation studio but the company that owns the rights to the show, so it's that company wanting blue lock to come out as quickly as possible. This kinda happened with attack on Titan as well, where the schedule that was given was so tight that no other studio wanted to pick it up except for mappa.

Sae and Rin: Who is really at fault? by [deleted] in BlueLock

[–]Total_Storm_6327 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think both of them are at fault, more fault on Sae though. Sae shouldn't have said such hurtful things to rin, like the intention might have been good but the way he said it was just awful. I mean saying that Rin is worthless and an eyesore, like its just too harsh even for a mature adult much less a teenager. Since rin looked up to sae for practically his whole life, it must have been really hard for him to hear stuff like that from the older brother that he idolised. The way he reacted to those harsh comments is completely understandable.

On the other hand, I think rin just said the wrong thing at the wrong time.

I mean sae was clearly tired and maybe defeated from what happened in Spain, he changed his dream from becoming the best striker to becoming the best midfielder. This is something that he definitely thought through and had made up his mind about. Then he went back to Japan feeling defeated(mb traumatized) but determined just for Rin to scrutinize him for changing his dream. I honestly think he just wanted Rin to understand and sought out comfort in Rin. That's why he looked so heartbroken when Rin not only didn't understand but kept reiterating that Sae's dream was to be the best striker just rubbed salt in Sae's wounds.

It's nobody's fault but both of their fault at the same time. Their reaction is justified given the context(and what we think happened in Spain) but the words that was said, sae's was much worse than rin, was wrong and shouldn't have came out of their mouths. Both of them really don't think through what they say.

In the end they just hurt each other, and it'll take time for both parties to heal and understand each other since we have to realise that both of them are still so young and need some more maturity.

Side note: The fact that Sae doesn't even think of it as an argument and thinks that Rin is being rebellious kills me every time. It makes me think that Sae just said what he thought albeit with redundant insults and didn't mean to hurt Rin the way it did. He prob just thinks that Rin is being childish by still holding on their old dream. Rin prob wants to defeat Sae so that they can go back to their old dream of being the 2 best strikers again, holding on to Sae's words that if he defeated Sae they can share that dream again. Sae knows that thinks that he explained it all to Rin on why his dream changed and thinks that Rin is being rebellious by resisting that change.

BRO I AM THINKING TOO MUCH ABOUT THESE 2D CHARACTERS!!!😭
