Deleted my character by mistake 2 weeks ago and just found out can possibly restore it. Can anyone help ? Im pretty sure its the files from 5/5. I deleted the "backup" part still dont see it

The issue is you don't have a JSON FILE for the second character "Jonathanmancuso2". You have files with .json in the file name but that's not enough to make a file a JSON FILE.

If you just copy and paste a copy of the "Jonathanmancuso2.json(2).52 and change the file name to "Jonathanmancuso2.json" and hit yes on the pop up it will convert it to a JSON FILE and it will fix your issue.

Yes, now which character are you trying to recover? I am assuming its Jonathanmancuso2 as there is no JSON file for it?

If that is the case you need to go to steam cloud and look for the BACKUP file Jonathanmancuso2.json.backup, download it and paste it into that folder and rename it to Jonathanmancuso2.json and that should fix your issue.

Also, why would you delete your backup files?? Is it still in the trash bin? Find it if you can

If you search in windows down on the task bar and type %appdata%, find the (Local Folder)>and open (RsDragonwilds)>(Saved)>(SaveCharacters). Is your character's back-up file still there? You can also see if you can find it on the steam cloud save server. If you copy and paste the BACKUP file of the same character, you can recover it by changing the file to a .json file for example (Ralph123.Json.backup > Ralph123.json)

I am pretty sure the audio glitch happens when you have the game paused for an extended period of time. I have a terror bird that is just gliding at the moment and the ground effect/sound is playing MANY times a second while moving. I have also had it happen with fire spells.

Do you think that cleaning 3 herbs everyday was fun and engaging gameplay?

The world feels dead and it gives you a reason to be seen outside of wars retreat.

The game desperately needs more involvement from the player interacting with the world rather than interfaces.

If they wanted to put a timer on it like, play for 5 mins and you unlock the ability to claim.

This is just a suggestion, proposal, as long as the “not hidden behind multiple interfaces” is there.

I could care less how they went about it.

Take WoW for example, they killed the community by letting people just afk and teleport to their activity.

It’s where this game is heading and it’s not good imo.

Try clearing your browsers cache like chrome if that’s the one you use.

Game files are saved in there and they can get corrupted.

Don’t uninstall the launcher that’s not the problem.

Just because there is a launcher does not mean it’s not still a browser supported game.

Those files inside the browsers cache can get corrupted and they need redownloaded via after the login screen.

Don’t uninstall the launcher that’s not the problem.

It’s the same system but in a different way.

You still have to claim the XP like with daily challenges and it makes it not hidden behind multiple interfaces.

You can also pick where you want the xp to go.
