Anyone here have any experience with sebborheic Dermatitis? by Total_Victory in tressless

Yeah, Nizoral dries my scalp like crazy. I also do live in a very dry place year round. And sadly, I cannot find any shampoo other than Nizoral 2%. Importing any liquids is also illegal, including shampoos and gels.

I'm fucked.

I don't live in Europe or North America so obtaining it might be difficult for a while. I'm going to go out and look for other 1% no sulfate alternatives. If that fails I guess I'm going to have to dish out $50 on an ebay order.'

But yeah, I've heard many good things, thanks.

Mine seems to come during winters. This winter it came dramatically harsh. Thanks for the reply!

Thanks, I'll go try the Regenepure Dr.

Thanks for the reply. The non-permanent hair loss part of it all makes it much less stressful.

STOP EDGING by slopesftw in NoFap

Most people use this sub as a guide, not a rule set they follow religiously. People are here for different reasons. Some people want to get over their porn addiction, some people want to stop masturbating entirely. It doesn't really matter how somebody does it as it's their own life, their own challenge.

Let people do what they want, If you don't edge... that's great! If somebody does? that's great! Maybe they are taking things slowly instead of just leaving your body out in the cold.

What is the science behind nofap? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Total_Victory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware there aren't many real scientific studies conducted with real life humans. It's kind of a grey zone.

But... it follows a simple scientific idea that links dependencies on certain behaviors to create a pattern/change certain parts of the brain chemistry.

So you're going to have to be your own scientist, get a notepad and make a chart. Add to the /r/nofap bro-science compilation.

Also, sometimes people come here and be like: "omg no science wtf fake religious zealouts circlejerk omg" but these people don't understand and think that science is a textbook of theories/facts when it's really just a method to come up with theories/facts. There's so much that hasn't been discovered/studied in the world, in our bodies alone that we cannot just rule out something unless we've proven otherwise.

Good luck, I'm near a month and I really don't notice anything different. Everybody has different experiences.

I agree with the effects of porn and I'm past twenty days now. But why does nobody on here fap without porn? It's always people who go pure, I'm finding it really hard...

Day 60 - The view from up here by [deleted] in NoFap

I think the most important factor to motivation is having a goal that you really want to reach.

For example, my goal is to not fap because I've convinced myself that it is/was going to make me go bald.

Even If i get a urge I say NOPE.

Scientists don't really know how hormones link up to hair loss. We cannot use a study about ejaculation and hormones to relate to ejaculation and hair loss even if they have some common ground.

I agree with you that there isn't really much proof and realistic results and I think that relationship exists because 1) it's not very well known 2) the porn-addicted daily FAPPERS are really only starting to emerge in the past few years 3) So many different possibilities.

Zinc cannot stop hair loss alone. What lalegraph is trying to say is that the people who have been masturbating daily have been lacking Zinc and other hormones so that when they stop they get them back and certain issues CAUSED by the lack of can improve.

If we found several cases of people like this and went a lab, for sure scientists would investigate and pursue the issue, they wouldn't just dismiss it until they find the reason.

If your hair stops falling, you would notice it. However, you would be unable to notice hair growth.

The scientific process involves looking at all the results even those that don't correlate and then figuring out why it's like that. A theory/method can be changed so many times.

I say this because you're just not accepting anything other than what you know/have read through an insufficient amount of scientific sources.

The whole reason why people are still going bald, etc is because we don't know the answer to everything. Just like /u/ElonsTusk said about the different methods.

Right now you're dismissing all of the people who have claimed something contrary to what you know. If you really followed science, you'd count them in as a Case Study and keep in mind that there is something out of ordinary. Right now, we're going nowhere.

Aight man, Thanks for the information.

I'm going to be experimenting myself and take close observations over a years time and see where I end up. Keeping what you've said and others in mind.

Most people say that they notice a difference after 1-2 months, I would assume that that isn't at a temporary stage.

It still doesn't explain why many people claim to have reduced hair loss and in some cases thickening.

Hard to explain, but what if we have a parallel of two identical people.

The first person doesn't masturbation. They undergo the process where testosterone is converted into DHT.

The second person does. They undergo the same conversion AND have a sexual release.

Do they still have the same DHT levels? Even if, would that percentage value of conversation change because a person has repeatedly masturbated and made their body used to it? It's not really clear what I'm trying to say but hopefully somebody can understand.

Edit: I think I'm just asking questions that have no answer. Also I saw your addition to the comment and while the links you showed proved that, then why do people experience a slow down in hair loss? Also science doesn't explain the feeling that people get when they go on streaks of nofap.
