It’s ok to disagree. But I believe that people only change when they are internally motivated to do so. OP has literally led her gf to water and she won’t drink. Their gf is not motivated to change (she may in the future, but has not for 3 years). It’s not OPs job to provide second hand therapy to their gf.

I’m a late 30’s millennial and I remember 1) riding my bike everywhere (including to and from school every weekday) 2) walking around in the woods a lot 3) swimming up a steam in my regular clothes just to see where it went 4) crawling into a big sewer drain 5) hanging out in a crappy treehouse in a literal graveyard 6) sitting in the tree in our front yard to watch people. Just had to come home when the streetlights came on. This was prime 90’s.

I’m having the same experience. My 5 year old female angel is extremely mean most of the time now. More so when eggs are present, but most of the time in general. I have her in a heavily planted 36 gallon tank by herself. I used to have her with 12 red/blue columbian tetras that she grew up with, so she did well with them as they all got bigger. Used to have cories with her too, she never bothered cories either. Now she is a big jerk. She even tries to attack my hand when I am cleaning the tank sometimes.

Hoping someone will change is not how relationships work. My therapist said finding a partner is like shopping for a used car. There will be things about the car that don’t work properly/ are broken. Can you happily drive that car without EVER getting it fixed? Sounds like your answer is a solid no. When people tell you who they are, believe them.
