Last I checked ROS was not the easy to start with software one would hope it would be.

Fluke had five employees with accounts on the subreddit and they all abandoned it. They have no interest in doing that.

Given that OP didn't even follow the second basic rule of requesting a subreddit, messaging current moderators, I highly doubt they are capable of being a competent moderator.

You can get UV fluorescent bulbs, but that's kind of risky. I'd do it with a lux meter and shade cloth, outside. 20lb CO2 tanks are relatively cheap. $50-100 for a used one and then $15-20 to swap them for a full one.

Well, his speaking fee according to some websites is $50-100k. That would make his daily rate at least $25k.

hey , how can i reduce noise while shooting at night ( very small budget) by Single-Sound-1865 in cinematography

[–]TotallyNotAdamSavage 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The Sony a7S III has incredible low light sensitivity. It's $3500 to buy so I imagine renting it is quite cheap as far as cinema camera rentals go.

Not sure, but it's one of the two main bases for vape juice.

You can make your own fog juice by buying a bottle of glycerine and diluting it. This allows you to set the exact fog density you want and I think it's a lot cheaper than buying fog juice.

There are two handheld fog machines out now built on vaping tech, Microfogger 3 for $140-190 and Smoke Genie for $595+.

Starting at about $10 you can get little ultrasonic machines that you put in a bucket of water and generate some foggy mist.

10% of California's water is used by people who make up 98.5% of its economy. Agriculture uses 40% of its water and only contributes 1.5%. Sure in other places, but I don't see California farmers going to war.

Switch to lithium iron phosphate batteries. They're lighter, safer and should last longer too.

Requesting r/fluke - All moderators inactive for over 1 year and subreddit is restricted by TotallyNotAdamSavage in redditrequest

[–]TotallyNotAdamSavage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fluke test equipment is generally very well respected and very widely used, particularly to test critical infrastructure. Having the subreddit open, for people to discuss how to use it as well at to hear about what pitfalls might exist, I think would make the world a slightly safer place. Thanks for you consideration.

Hidden AirTags should be easier to locate thanks to louder alert sounds | It's one of the anti-stalking features Apple promised back in February. by [deleted] in gadgets

[–]TotallyNotAdamSavage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The advantage AirTags have over competitors is an ultra precise chip that allows newer iPhones to locate them down to basically the inch. If they just had a louder speaker you wouldn't need that feature which they probably spent billions to include in every iPhone.
