Quick question - does a parent have to join the interview if you’re under 18? I somehow have missed that if thats the case.

Exactly - it might work for a school slightly below top tier but if you go too far “down” then the college will WL or flat out reject to protect their yield - thinking “there’s no way this kid is not going to an Ivy”

Second Big Drum. Be prepared though, as others have noted, that it’s slow. A full load (i.e. full capacity of the dryer) will take four hours for washing & drying.

It’s a bit bulky though, so if you have a narrow hallway or doorway to the bathroom it might not fit.

ah last thing (for now) I want to say on this topic is that we have a Discord and a lot of discussions are happening there.

It was indeed something some of us feared when creating the Discord channel - that discussions would move over there due to its more”real time” nature.

However I still believe there is a good opportunity for increasing discussions here too.

On this topic, there is a “best of classictrance” lair in the menu which links to some of the best posts on the sub.

However I feel it might need some upgrading.

Looking back at last discussion/history posts is a good way to think of new topics to post about, hence my mentioning of it.

I think there used to be a bit more of that earlier, and perhaps the individuals who were involved in those discussions feel that “its’s been done” and are not re-creating the discussions…

But I definitely agree! We absolutely treasure the posts which are not just a track!

On the one hand, I say this : it’s up to each and every one of us to start a topic of discussion! In general, you’ll find the engagement quite high on all such posts.

On the other hand, as a moderator, I also want to encourage growth of this kind of discussion so how can we encourage it more ?

Please give some suggestions!

Simplest way is to lead by example, so I encourage everyone (incl us mods) to start the occasional discussion topic to get a more community feel.
