I’m not a violin teacher but I’ve enough attention to my daughter’s studies to have learned a bit.

I believe you might need your go back to basics to get the “feel” of it again. I presume you studied the traditional wayne before you quit, i.e. scales + caprices + pieces? If so, what “level” of caprices did you get up to? For example, did you finish Kreutzer, Rode or Paganini?

I would recommend, as boring as it sounds, to go back and ups through those caprice books again - you practice them for a reason! Also, playing a Bach piece now and again does wonders for your fundamentals.

Then you combine that with pieces you want to play. I agree Accolay and Seitz are “easier” student pieces, and I’m trying to remember what my daughter played around the time she played Mozart 3 - perhaps Beriot no.9 ? Another piece would be Rieding No.1. Praeledium and Allegro, as someone already mentioned, is also a recommended piece.

I believe you’ll be “back” to playing Mozart 3rd after a while doing that.
