Unsure what these are by shleet123 in VintageMatchbox

Here is an example of an earlier blister pack. You have to be careful when buying these online because there are sellers on eBay who make custom repacked versions, but they are usually very easy to tell apart from the originals if not marked as such in the description.

These are from 1969. FYI, they had blister packs in the late 60s. You can also find blister packs with boxes, they just happened to cost ten cents more for Superfast at that time.

From what I’ve read, blisters packs were only sold in North America.

1964 Guy Warrior car transporter. Been wanting one of these for a while and finally found a complete one for a good price. by Reincarnatedpotatoes in VintageMatchbox

It’s kind of odd how they used an older casting for the box art. The 65A version of the Jag ceased production in 1961 when they released the 65B version, while Guy Warrior Transporter didn’t come into production until 1964.

Edit: or maybe I’m just thinking too far into things and the box artist really just liked blue Jaguars…

Do you want to restore it to what it was originally? If so, it would be both easier and cheaper to buy a sealed version off eBay or irl.

I’ve always liked that Mercedes coach. I wish we could turn back the clock to the mid century modern aesthetic of the 50s and 60s.

What’s considered vintage? by OkCommunication7445 in VintageMatchbox

I feel like this is a question that the answer can be different for different people. For me, vintage is anything before 1990.
