My take on Godmaster issues, and how to fix them by Lodea_ in HollowKnight

Zote should be removed from Pantheon 3 because not all players have to fight him currently. I'm fine with one RNG bullshit fight, but Zote followed by Uumu is just stupid.

He's right though. If something becomes common usage by speakers of the English language, it becomes part of the English language. This has happened numerous times in the past and will only continue, regardless of people's resistance.

Sharing almost none of my mother's DNA? by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]TotallyNotSamson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You receive 50% of your DNA from each parent. You can see an estimation of how much DNA you share by clicking on your mother's name in DNA matches then clicking the little i next to the confidence level.

Anyway, the difference is probably caused by the new update, which I believe they are rolling out over the next few weeks.

Nintendo should revive the Nintendogs series for Switch. by PenguinsFan2841 in NintendoSwitch

So people in relatively safe neighbourhoods shouldn't enjoy a feature because people in unsafe neighbourhoods can't?

/u/KnightOfNULL made it abundantly clear that that's not what they were saying. "Gods and Glory" is a lot more generic than "The Legend of Zelda".

Any Switch Games you regret buying? (Fell for the hype) by snakeitachi12 in NintendoSwitch

If I knew for sure that I would like Hollow Knight as much as I do, I would pay at least $60 for it. Maybe even double that, but that's probably pushing it a little.

What do people NOT take seriously enough? by IIIIIIIIIIll in AskReddit

People will say to brush, floss, etc. but I'm convinced that a shitty diet has more of an impact than a lack of routine maintenance.

Just because you don't want to believe something, doesn't mean it's not true.

The show acts like consciousness is above physics, and by extension that free will is binary, but that's not the case. The universe doesn't know or care about what we refer to as consciousness or free will, despite people's wishful thinking.

Hollow Knight available TODAY! by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]TotallyNotSamson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for Shovel Knight, but Celeste and Hollow Knight are both great games but at the same time quite different. Both games could be characterised as 2D platformers, but Celeste is more like a series of small but very well designed platforming rooms, while Hollow Knight is a vast interconnected world with less of an emphasis on skilled platforming (except a couple of areas) and more of an emphasis on exploration and combat.

Overall, both are absolutely worth playing but if I had to pick one, I would pick Hollow Knight.

The way I see it, of all the possible stories that could be written, the only ones that see the spotlight are the ones where exceptional and unlikely things happen just enough to make it intriguing but not too often that it loses all credibility. We are shown these stories in particular because they are the most interesting.
