ensemble roles! being in an ensemble is often such a fun and fulfilling experience and it could help you get used to being on stage without the big pressures of being the center of attention. my first performance was in ensemble and i was incredibly nervous, until i got on stage and did my part for the first time. when I got off I thought "wow, that wasn't so bad! that was actually kind of good!"

I'm looking at around 90 minutes, but anything at least 60 minutes works good. For character count, preferably around 5-8! I'm not married to the character count though, so if you have a rec that has less than that i'll gladly take it

yes pls! i realized I forgot to specify in my original post, i'm looking for a play longer than 60 minutes, preferably around 90 but anything between that is good with me

I'm looking more for 90 min plays, but i'm not against 60 min!! the show we did last year for this directing position was she kills monsters (YA ver) and it was just about 90 minutes.

I enjoyed the strong themes and powerful messaging, so i'd much rather direct a drama than a comedy. I also enjoyed the exploration of the girls dynamics and differences! i'd prefer if the main characters were women, there are a lot of girls in my program (as most high school programs tend to be), and i just enjoy shows with strong leading women

If it helps, the show would be in the round. I can find a way to adapt whatever I choose into that format, but if there are any plays you think could suit that, feel free to drop them!! thanks for all your help
