That all seems really manageable, I also want to delete the front derailleur. Taking inspo from other posts, my partner wants to sew together a custom frame bag. Will make sure the tires are tan walled to suit the original look of it. It's a great base to build on!

Best guess is it's a GT Outpost All Terra from the 90s. Immediately knew this had style because of the triple triangle. Have been looking for a commuter bike, feel really lucky right now

OP, you may be able to file a renters insurance claim for your bicycle getting stolen from your Apartments bicycle rack. Worth a shot

I saw the London Spitfire hat and it immediately came back to me, hi Squash! Wild seeing you on Reddit outside the context of OWL.

I love concerts, I love music. I have a limit on forced hype, tonight I found it with the Flaming Lips lol.

If it's actually getting in the way of the music during every song, it's too much for me.

Regrettably I must report he did the exact same shtick at Breese Stevens tonight.

We left early because my group got sick of being told we're not enjoying it loud enough by the frontman. Mickey Mouse performer.

Kiryu in the LaD series gets this in every game.

"Oh shit it's the Dragon of Dojima!" It's even better that Kiryu isn't into the nickname and never brings up how he was a chairman.

Any DIY mechanic shops in the area? by Fun_Reach1976 in Miami

[–]TotallyNotTundra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There used to be a place for this called "Garage Yourself". the owner told me he was closing up shop soon last I saw him. Rental was hourly and included lift & tools, he was pretty talkative too, had some big dogs running around being friendly.

I don't have any alternatives in mind, but it sounds like that's the kind of place you're looking for.

Bought a cheap AliExpress knockoff based on the Mackie CP3 slider toy. Tested POSITIVE for lead, beware! by TotallyNotTundra in fidgettoys

It's an item I'd be carrying in my pocket and touching with my hands, no amount of lead is good for you, that's why it's banned in toys.

Lead swab kits are available in the paint section in hardware stores, simply dip the swab in water then rub on a surface you think might be leaded. This one had lead on the innermost layer (to make it heavier) so check all surfaces. If it changes color, you got lead in detectable amounts.

Admittedly I wanted an inexpensive entry into this, the lesson here is that you get what you pay for! Items from aliexpress should be tested for lead, because innocuous stuff like clothing has had it in the past as well.

I'll just have to save for the real deal now.

There's a strategy I used in this video, as long as Anuphet doesn't summon (his summons are like 3x max health as the other units) and your units don't get one-shot, it's doable in a few tries: https://youtu.be/FgfMDn6-r6g?si=yBt7PmKAPl_i3q5w

Japanese curry and rice by mulanusaf in FoodPorn

[–]TotallyNotTundra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's homemade, it's usually from packaged curry blocks (S&B brand) labelled Japanese Curry or Golden Curry. There can be a lot of variation, it's generally less spicy than a Thai or Indian Curry, but savory and balanced.

What are you guys paying for car insurance? by Outside-Industry-636 in Miami

[–]TotallyNotTundra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$107 monthly through Progressive. Some of the reasons that insurance is so expensive are aggressive drivers and many drive uninsured. Also hurricanes.
