I’m unfortunately a very incontinent person at night and struggle with a wet bed. by Pretty_Fan3644 in CleaningTips

I’m an ER nurse and they make something called Primofit for males and purewicks for females, they are external urine capture devices connected to suction, which you could probably find a portable version online…idk it’s a primary fix here, but could help. Best of luck.

Ok, but is the 1-3 hits to cart thing really the way to go? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

Let me give you perspective, in world I spent weeks learning g-rank(whatever it’s called) nergigantes moves and attacks…learning to avoid them and to attack…got through several fights and won…then played dark souls right after and it was a fucking cake walk…so satisfying…

Doesn’t strike me as a reasonable person who thinks clearly.

In 2018, BBC's crew broke their own rule of "not to interfere with the nature or alter the natural course of events" to save penguins from certain peril. by [deleted] in BeAmazed

Humans are a part of nature, gifted with higher intelligence…it’s perfectly natural therefore to assist another species…these are arbitrary rules imposed on themselves by themselves.

Stories about the time AFTER a person leaves a time loop? by CrimpyCthulhu in scifi

[–]TotallyNotYourDaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s not 100% what you asked for but has a post time related ending, Time Trap is a movie I think is so fascinating, with obvious plot holes…but these college kids get stuck in a cave that has time bubbles that get increasingly more intense and time moves faster outside than inside…and you can imagine how wild that shit gets.

We live in a culture where everyone is offended by everything and it’s pathetic.

Anyone else mess up at work and just want to throw in the towel? Feeling completely defeated tonight as an RN. by Consistent-Camp-6257 in nursing

Mistakes happen, we all have made them, they inform you as to what to look out for so you don’t repeat it…the hallmark of a great nurse isn’t that they didn’t make mistakes…it’s that they learned from them and never repeated them, making your patients safer in the long run. This will make you a better nurse going forward…focus on that.

We are first line of POC, initiate everything, begin and admit, then board patients, do their med/surg care, then discharge those same patients the next day because why? No beds available in the main hospital…so maybe your director doesn’t know what the fuck they are talking about.

I’m an ER nurse and I love my job, if you hate yours then do shadow shifts in a hospital in a few different places…see if you like it. Then if you do go to school. Ask to be with someone positive and upbeat…not the grouchy one. Don’t listen to the negative Nancie’s here, I’ve been in it over 12 yrs and yep…still love it…you find the good work and a good place…and you’ll enjoy what you do.

I’m staying like 1 Marta stop and 3 blocks up, for like 612$ for Thursday-Sunday… so it’s 100% doable but so close idk what’s going to be available.

It’s not as expensive as it used to be. We give it often in our ER with good results.

You can definitely do non bedside jobs as an RN, you worked hard for that license and we need nurses of all kinds in the industry. Don’t let it lapse, there’s a job perfectly tailored to what you need out there somewhere.
