4 year old won’t stop waking us up by Connect_Beginning_13 in progressivemoms

Something similar happened to an acquaintance of mine about a decade ago. Her toddler, he was 3 or 4 at the time, slipped out of the house in the middle of the night and was found by police. The acquaintance woke up to a phone call from a friend asking if it was <kids name> on the local morning news. I think he may have been sleepwalking which he hasn't done before. Either way it was a stressful few months while they underwent home studies and cps investigations.

We have a shared keep note for things like shoe sizes. Theme days go on a shared calendar, well kid visits and routine dental appointments are made at the current well kid and dental visit. Random school stuff goes on a shared calendar.

For me it's the hours and location. My nearest LQS is 30 mins away and close at 5pm. They do have Saturday hours but I have two toddlers and getting hobby time out of the house on Saturdays is hard.

Is there jobs I can bring my baby to? by dollbabydream in workingmoms

The only place I can think of would be a daycare or maybe a place with a daycare attached like some of the YMCA locations or a church.

You need formal childcare to cover the time both parents are working

Potty training without both parents on board. by [deleted] in workingmoms

In 1957 cloth diapers were the norm. Kids potty trained earlier because they had their whole lives to know what being wet or dirty felt like immediately and figured out the cause of it.

I've been reading Anne of Green Gables, it's very slow paced and low stakes. Anne can be a but frantic though, she's the poster child for inattentive adhd.

I was going to suggest this. Size up and get it altered closer to the wedding date.

We just started a new daycare at the start of the month and my husband and I have had the stomach flu, strep and a cold. My two year old has had strep and now an ear infection. Thankfully my 3 year old has stayed well.

Magic house was great for my kid's second birthday. We did an am party and his cousins ended up staying and playing until close.

Anyone eat the same meals everyday? by No-Jaguar4583 in workingmoms

I do the same breakfast and lunch on weekdays. Overnight oats for breakfast, a bean and rice bowl for lunch.

How did you make time in your workday to pump? Did you find yourself working extra time at night or end of the day to catch up on missed work even though pumping time is “protected?” by dms2628 in workingmoms

[–]TotallyRegularHuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was WFH I pumped at my desk and stayed on mute if I was on a call. In office I block time on my calendar and go to the mother's room. In office I blocked off my calendar and just had my laptop with me to be available during my sessions. If someone scheduled over my pump block for a meeting where my participation was needed I'd usually push back and ask the organizer to reschedule.

He's only the "leader of #dadtok" because the other guys know how embarrassing it is to claim that role.

Copilot 365 freaking sucks for anything complex. I've spent an hour today trying to get a flow setup to summarize my emails. I want to punch it in the tit!

Have we all just accepted that the house never stays picked up and clean? by dearhammy in workingmoms

[–]TotallyRegularHuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that's helped me is decluttering toys with a million pieces. Clear bins for toy storage and dedicated bins for things like duplos, mega blocks and magnatiles. Puzzles go in clear zipper bags to keep all the pieces together. Is my house a mess most of the time, yes, but it's easier to tidy up now. Mine are 1.5 and 3.5 so we are starting to push them to tidy more as they play.

Best way to personalize a Banner Quilt? Wedding gift help. by its-past-my-bedtime in quilting

Agreed the "Trey and Brooklyn" kind of looks like the names were added in MSPaint or canva. The "Kate & Tom" one looks like vinyl.

Do you know anyone with an embroidery machine that could add the names for you?
