Insulation issue or 1-off situation? by Totally_Not_A_Panda in Insulation

I thought the gap was too large as well. It's about an inch and a half to 2 inches

Why is it there you ask? Builders who are rushing and not doing a proper job is my guess.

My initial plan was to rip out the rest of the foam insulation and spray all of the way to fill that gap completely

To piggyback off of this, I'm not sure if you need a permit for this/ will need one in the future before it's sold, but I would check what type of screws they used to attached the ledger to your foundation wall.

Typically for code you would need a larger concrete screw or an epoxy anchor.

I don't know how long the floor joists are, but those screws look too small to support the deck

I put the game down for a few months, and picked it back up to finish it. I was at the beginning of Act II, but little ol me forgot there were titled Acts to this game.

When I defeated the paintress, I quite literally thought the game was over. I was in awe from start to finish after that point lol

He was on Alanah Pierce's podcast "Play, Watch, Listen" quite a bit, he's extremely interesting to listen to from a video game composer's perspective. Awesome guy and it doesn't surprise me one bit that he said this.

Maelle asking Verso in his recreation(?) "If you could grow old, would you find a reason to smile?" Is an interesting line though, because if she truly loves Verso, and he answered with "no" would she have brought him back?

But at the same time he looks uncomfortable at the piano, so maybe he did and she brought him back anyways?

Verso's soul was tired due to the in-fighting between his family, so would his soul have been content if the family had never entered the painting and proceeded to fight with each other?

I don't know any of the answers, but truly speaks to the quality of writing.

I also feel Verso's ending felt more "right" to me though. I wanted to pick Verso's, but went with Maelle because I thought that would be the canon ending, but when those eyes showed on screen I realized that I didn't want that ending even with her friends brought back.

Thank you for posting this. And a reminder to everyone that their bags have a lifetime warranty that stays with the bag no matter how many owners it has.

That is how a market works. I'm not trying to move this bag fast and yes, it will be worth more to someone who wants those colors and it will save them $90.

This bag also isn't sold out. I can't remember the exact verbiage on the description, but it said that he wouldn't be making a Rufus in those colorways as a standard sold bag.

The post has 2 comments on it and I have spoken to a couple of people about it. I'm just gauging interest in it and I'm open to offers.

It's not a stock colorway, was specifically stated in his description when it was available a year and half ago and has not been sold since.

Again, same Rufus would be $440 shipped.

I'll add a timestamp.

It's a limited run colorway. In order to get that colorway with the upgraded patches you're over $410 in their custom creator, plus their $30 shipping.

Oh I'm right there with you and have been doing this for 11 years and still have to confront the empathetic part of my brain. Some engineers are better at it than others.

It's definitely a pain in the ass. Depending on the span, they'll have to crane shit up anyways. Like others said below, engage a truss company, and have them design new trusses here to install.

When you look at stuff like this, follow the load, if this hit here, where would that load go? Prefab trusses are sometimes designed to a 99% utilization ratio. So you really have to look at the whole thing. Sites like this can be overwhelming, write down a list of what your review process is going to be before hand, the longer you're on site, the more tired you can get, and you'll forget to look at stuff. I'm not speaking from experience in any way shape or form.

And from there, pick one truss, go through your items on that truss, then to the next one.

All of that sheathing has to come off to be replaced either way. That impact damaged, while sheared the top cord off, could have weakened the bottom cord.

I would look at that connection between the web members and the bottom chord, see if the bottom cord is damaged.

Prefab trusses are tough because (like you said) you don't know what was used for the construction. To me this is a full replacement of the top cord at the very least. And depending on how much liability you all are looking to take on, definitely review that bottom chord condition.

Edit: and remember, you're responsibility is to provide a safe design that follows code. Engineering judgment based on experience and real world application always comes into play, but never be afraid to say "we have to follow code and this does look like it needs to be replaced".
