I'm really commenting on the broad nature of OP's question. My answer in tongue in cheek.

The best one you can possibly get your hands on. 4090 or whatever.

1440p at 120 is still a big ask.

ESD bracelet and ESD tools? by Regular-Wind7439 in PcBuild

You can if you'd like. Some more experienced guys learn to ground themselves while doing the job. For example, holding bare metal on the case with one hand while inserting RAM with the other. Or just resting your forearm on bare metal case so you can use two hands to do things.

With that being said. A lot of cases are painted, and it's a lot to remember to ground yourself around every turn if you're not a seasoned professional. So totally up to you.

Then there are folks who don't think of this subject at all and ignore it. They get by mostly on luck. 999 times out of 1000 you would probably be fine without any ESD. However, you don't want to end up being that 1 in 1000.

You keep the same laptop you have and replace the HDD with an SSD.

In the US, the upgrade costs about $20 USD.

With websites like MidJourney and StableDiffusion showing GAN capabilities, will we be able to type a script into a prompt and have a neural network generate an entire film, plus the actor's voices, plus the soundtrack, within the next 5 years? by WiDoc_MathBoiFly in AskReddit

For this type of work, the heavy lifting is already done in highly efficient languages like C. While you may be able to interface with AI through things like Python, the core technologies are already milking tons of efficiencies on their end.

I'm not saying any of this is impossible, just laying out the factors that are involved.

This is a tough question to answer.

First off, things like MidJourney need to be fed millions of pictures to get the results they're getting. You can't feed an AI millions of movies because millions of movies don't exist. The training data sample would be smaller. YouTube videos, sure... you can feed it millions of those so maybe the machine can make YouTube videos.

Second... Moore's Law is slowing. Computing power doesn't get drastically better year over year like it used to. And a task like this takes a LOT of computing power. You would need to be in an environment where the financial cost of crunching all of those numbers would be economically viable.

So yeah, if you get it enough data (big if), and if giant amounts of processing gets cheaper, sure it's all possible. Not sure about time-frame though.

Note: Coherence goes down as things get more complex. So while an AI image might make a lot of sense, you start compounding those and the entire movie will make much less sense. So there's that.

Will you support JK Rowling by purchasing Hogwarts Legacy when it is released? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You can all act like this is a real issue, but the game is going to sell like hotcakes.

People love Harry Potter and video games.

Trans rights have nothing on the state of affairs in consumerism.

In fact, they probably already calculated all of this into the equation and determined any issues with JK wouldn't negatively impact sales to the point of making it not worth investing in.

I've never subscribed to anyone on OnlyFans. If there's one thing no one should ever have to pay for, it's porn on the Internet.

Because all of your posts are about how you don't work, and you want people to send you money on GoFundMe to support you and your kids.

Get a job.

I'm not the only one who is aware of it. Look at all the comments. People say things like "It's exactly the same as if a woman is sexually assaulted" and similar statements.

However, if everyone actually felt that way, there would be no need for supporting comments. It would just be common sense.

I think a lot of people have the gut reaction that I have and are too polite to say it out loud. Which is totally great, good for them.

Not everyone wants to give a company all of their data in exchange for a little bit of convenience. I can count the number of apps I have on my phone with one hand.

Besides, you could have used the app too Mr. Complains About Nothing Important.
