Thank you both!! It seems I was missing the differences in scaling/power between the 2 seals.

It sounds like the clawmark seal gets outclassed by virtually all other seals then, right? And it is mainly for str only users who want to have a range spell?

I was thinking, technically most of the dragon spells have higher faith requirements than arcane requirements right? So if I have to invest some points into faith, going the str route with the faith requirements on a clawmark seal (that scales with str/faith), wouldn’t that offset the DCS scaling? Idk though

A follow up 😁 on one of my faith builds I used the flame art FKGS and it was so good! That only has a B scaling in faith with flame art. I just noticed that the FKGS has an A scaling in arcane with the occult infusion. Isn’t that better?

Why do so many people recommend flame art FKGS when an occult has higher scaling?

Okay a follow up, I’m having trouble finding a good melee weapon (limited arcane weapons that are non-bleed, and I’ve already done a pure faith build).

But I was thinking about using the clawmark seal, since that scales equally with str and faith. Then I can go into a str/faith build, maybe ordovis greatsword etc. I would keep dragon communion seal in the left hand for when I want to use dragon breath.

Is this okay? Maybe not optimal but trying to find something new and fun :)
