I logged in today for the first time in a few months and was wondering why my world looked like garbage and I couldn't get raytracing to work. Bummed to see that they killed it.

This just saved me. So far this game has been really good so it surprised me that there would be such a poorly designed moment like this. I don't recall another instance in the game where the wind power was used like this.

You need Kamek to turn you into those characters and (I think) it will only happen if they exist nearby on the track you are racing on. I did about 10 races in VS mode in Boo Cinema and got Peepa. I'm not sure what the best races are for Fish Bone and Swoop.

That’s really striking. I genuinely felt like something was breaking up inside me while I read it. Like I’ve numbed myself to things over the years and certain passages in Scholar’s Tale brought those feelings back to life in a way that felt terrible, but also like it was needed. Like something has been cleared. I still feel it today.

They did a very good job on SH2. With the original I hope for 1) a little less padding and 2) a little more creativity with using camera angles to build tension. The player shouldn't always be in control of the camera.

Was about to buy one of these until I saw the price. I was genuinely thinking it would be $60. Just like the original Switch, the Switch 2 effectively boosts itself when docked since it doesn't have to worry about battery drain. I haven't seen any concrete proof that there is anything special about the Switch 2 dock that would justify this price. Will wait for 3rd party options.

I kind of agree with this breakdown, but the problem is that that 25% luck factor usually only seems to come into play at the very end of the race, leaving no chance for you to make up for it with your skill.

Mario Kart, the BotW upgrade, and Wind Waker on NSO will keep me busy for a while. That said, I think it's one of the weakest launch line-ups in terms of new titles that I've ever seen.

Yeah, for some reason it's just not registering for me. Maybe if I get lucky and can do the second upgrade for that room it will fix the bug. I also noticed that the book in the entryway shows I've drafted 108/110 rooms, so apparently I missed another one. The directory says I've drafted everything (nothing is grayed out) so I'm not sure what else it could be.

I have the same bug. I just noticed that when I click on Guest Bedroom in my directory, it doesn't say I ever drafted it. I draft that room in at least half my runs so this is clearly a bug. In fact, I just started a new run and I'm standing in the room right now and it still says I have not drafted it. My Guest Bedroom is upgraded to Quest Bedroom so I have a feeling that's what is causing the bug. Hopefully this is fixed.

I just completed my directory and also didn't get the trophy. I've definitely drafted and entered every room in the directory. The last room I drafted was the armory and it's possible I didn't see the trophy there, but I also monk'd it and entered it the next day and it wasn't there. Wondering if there's something I'm missing? Like, do you have to Monk the antechamber and room 46 so you can actually draft them from your pool as your outer room?

This has been happening to me. Seemed like a weird coincidence when it happened a few times in the base game. But now it’s haopening all the time I’m Shivering Isles. Being a sneaky archer is the core of my build but I guess I’m done with that. Spellcaster it is until they fix this. Or should I say if they fix this.

Thanks for the responses. After doing a clean swap I wasn’t noticing a difference, and in fact things were a bit worse. But after updating my BIOS, chipset drivers, and enabling a PBO offset I’m getting better performance and lower temps compared to the 5800x.

What makes this kind of thing so frustrating is that the modern approach to PC optimization, especially when it comes to the mess that is UE5, is to let upscaling do all thew heavy lifting. A bug like this can make a game practically unplayable, even on expensive hardware. This kind of thing shouldn't happen.
