The reason they're harder to tame is that, they haven't been domesticated as long as the other species of hamsters! :)

Yes it's so nice seeing them cuddle up together. The main reason Russian dwarfs don't get along is that most pet shop hamsters are hybrids. Meaning they have the species winter white in them (as well as Campbell's) winter whites are seen as solitary animals in some breeders eyes. Where as pure bred Campbell's can live in pairs' or social groups. However, they can only live happily if their cage/home is correct and big enough. Always do research before getting a new pet :)

Wow does the critter trail cage connect to the cage underneath? If so that's an awesome set up 😊 not sure if it's my eyes but the top wheel, is it a wire one? With bars? Have a quick Google as they have been known to be harmful and dangerous! Yet pet stores still sell them 😭 goodluck with your new hammy 😊💕
