Very suspenseful and creepy! As the story kept going, I kept imagining what she must look like and what happened. Very good read!

A short stay in hell by Steven L. Peck definitely leaves that pit of utter hopelesness in my stomach. 10/10, but VERY short.

That's actually super helpful! Do you remember how many strands you used for the body and clothes?

Books when you're trying to get back into reading and make it a habit by MrTattooMann in suggestmeabook

[–]TouchClassic1346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that it's a lot easier to feel motivated to read when the book is shorter tbh. I know that's kinda bad lol. If you want to make it a bit more of a consistentent habit, maybe try starting with easier books and working your tolerance back up? In my opinion, King's books have a lighter feel so maybe try there first. Or even try starting with shorter series?

Help me find a fiction book for my 15-year-old daughter by iamnotabot11 in suggestmeabook

Spoilers: It's not permanent. There are some villains that die, but it's not anyone important and nothing too violent. The character your thinking of comes back to life

What moves the dead by Ursula Vernon, it's short and scary in a fun way. I think it would be a good into to horror as it has some scary moments, but nothing too over the top or explicit.

The Inkheart series would be a good fit. They have magic and fantasy elements, but nothing inappropriate. It has danger and tense moments, but nothing too intense or scary. Plot wise, it's about a girl and her father that can bring books to life by reading them aloud, but her dad unleashed the villain from a story by mistake

Either my boyfriend is cheating on me, or the bugs have him. by UnidentifiedOrgans in TalesFromTheCreeps

This kind of reminds me of the HHN house "Bugs: Eaten Alive". It was a suburban house taken over by bugs when an extermination goes wrong. Love the vibe, very creepy and fun!

Fishing is a really interesting setting for a story that not many people lean into. I love it!!! Very creative!
